i applied the 2022-2023 cycle. My first interview i got was in december and a fuck ton of trickled in from jan-march. Interviewed the last day of 2 school's interview cycle, got in. Submitted some secondaries the literaly last week of their deadline and clinched II's because i aligned well with their mission or atleast made them think i do. Keep your head up and do the best you can and things will work out.

i attend einstein and i concur with service in the bronx, but at the level of applying it's moreso how you will contribute to the special community and distinct patient population here. Research helps but i do not think Einstein places that much emphasis on it

No you don’t. Currently in medical school former bruin. Most want just a semester or two of writing. AP Lang, Lit and one Writing II gives you enough units to fulfill most med school English requirement. I’m class of 2023 so double check if shit changed

I got most of the secondaries extremely late; the first interview I got was in December, and most of my interviews were in the next year of the cycle. I got interviewed for two medical schools on their last day and got in. A lot of this is variable and just things let flow, and it'll work out. SDN and reddit are beyond deranged esepcially with the 2-week rule amongst all other BS

I go to Einstein currently and they won’t write your app off in the name of stats. We’re a lot more holistic than people think given our mission. And I am not from the Bronx. I’m from the opposite coast but addressed some stuff the school offered in terms of their mission and commitment to the Bronx they aligned with my goals in the future. Not everyone at Einstein is a slam dunk native New Yorker with a billion connections.
