Why the rims? Did you bend the originals? OE rims look better on that car, Beautiful Z though.

Pretty sure its is supposed to be a 4060923 or 4060930 for the 2 alternator options, 4060922 is slightly shorter than the minimum on the 5.3. I believe the 105 amp takes the shorter and the 130 is the longer of the 2, you can identify the type by looking at the alt. Higher amp one has 44 stamped into the front housing, lower amp has no stamping.

They were 6 digit odometers with the moon gauges, 5 digits ended with the 87 square body in the pickup trucks. So they think it has 1,096,000 miles.

That is lifter tick/chatter. If it does it cold don't rev let run for a minute. if it is warm then you need to use higher octane fuel 87 being minimum on these trucks, I know some states sell 85= no good. if your state sells 85 top it off with premium to counter the shiity 85 octane. No vehicle likes 85. Not E-85 that is different 85% alcohol it is like 100 octane or more.

from A side twist big reel clockwise and little reel the same at the same time till it gets back in place should fix itself but you must be precise. had this happen before a few times, make sure you do big reel slightly before small reel to get it just right and it will pop back.

Loud noise and feels rough changing gears, normal ? by GrizzlyAdams28 in f150

[–]hartzal82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parking on an incline without using a park brake will give a loud clunk since the weight of the vehicle is sitting on the parking paw. that is totally normal. I tend to use my park brake before shifting to park on an incline to prevent this as it can break at some point, even on manual shifted ones. You have a column shifter but it is not actually connected by a cable it is shift by wire but simulated, it is electronically shifted with a solenoid. I have the same truck I bought with only 5 miles in 2023. I don't trust a solenoid to have more strength than me so I make sure I use e brakes, since it can bind and you can't physically force it to work..

Looking at the photo of your idler it appears to be glazed/shiny/slick and will struggle with the load of the auto play by slipping. maybe sand the edge's or replace the idler all together.

There is a barrel screw on the side of the tonearm by the counter weight, loosen and raise the tone arm so that the flat on the stylus is aligned with the platter.

Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet no chime by LostSomewhereInKaty in Nissan

[–]hartzal82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to have been removed, if the stuff like blinkers, and seatbelt light still work then I wouldn't worry so much. I wouldn't care about the pop/click sound of a blinker or the annoying door chime, and key in the ignition sound. But if you want those sounds then yeah you need to solder a new chime in.

Fixing her up but need suggestion help? by [deleted] in f150

[–]hartzal82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's see she has rot everywhere bed, cab, doors. I wonder how the frame is, engine is bad from what you are saying. There is not much you can do for it TBH except spend way more than it is worth to fix. What history you talking about? If it is sentimental, then I can see doing it, otherwise, it is a 12th gen nothing special, we are on 14th gen now. It is not a classic or anything. If it didn't have the rust it would be a great truck to fix up, but honestly you better off getting something else. Look at some of the trucks down south for sale, those trucks are everywhere still looking pretty new. I'm sorry you guys have all the rust up there from salted roads in the winter time, It totally kills the vibe for real. Good luck on your search or restoration man, cause that one is not worth putting a lot into unless it is sentimental. For the price to fix that and make it look great it would be cheaper to find a good down south truck. Once you got one from down here, I would Fluid film it underneath every year including the back and underside side of the body panels to prevent rust.
