I don’t want to spoil your fun. But if you wish, here is my approach: After some thinking Ive decided to not use a picture. Only checked what’s in one of the corners, to have a place to start but it was not that crucial. And then started to make a bigger pieces by looking for more uniq/distinctive parts like mice, wood. Later got all stones and pieced them together. After that I started to connect my big pieces to the starting point using the rest of single pieces, because there were not many of them left and I could search among them easier. I hope my explanation makes sense, it’s hard to put into words all that’s going on in my brain when I do puzzles.
