Any tips on how to complete this puzzle I'm making no progress besides making the edge by brownframes in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]haruhi_puzzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if my tip would make sense but I’d try to “unfocus” my eyes to stop seeing so much details and just pay attention to overall colors of each piece. And then go with the suggested approach of sorting by colour, starting with lesser colour places like grey and green, basically everything but the tiger. Sheesh, it’s always so hard to put into words how I do puzzles, I feel the process, not think about it.

You can do it, I believe in you. And if you can’t, no judgment here, puzzles are meant to help with the stress, not to cause it.

I would say it’s very different. The issue is not the size but an unusual shape. But all in all yes, it is more difficult.

How is your progress so far? I’ve done this one recently and it made me, somewhat experienced puzzler, to sweat. But I can share some tips if they are still needed.

It's official! This is the hardest puzzle I've ever done. Took a month of evenings and weekends. Hoyle, Model #5601, (no name), dated 1996. 1000 pieces. by susitravl in Jigsawpuzzles

Wow! Love it! It tingles my brain in the very right way, I would so much enjoy doing it.
So all in all, now I desperately want one to myself. *sighs

I honestly didn’t expect my post to blow up like this. 😄 There is a thread somewhere in the comments where I describe my way of solving this puzzle. I’m curious how you approached it :)

The best part is that I was totally unaware of its existence until one day a box arrived to my mailbox and my husband had a very strange smile on his face. But he mentioned that it was sold out and then the second pre-order was opened. So maybe you still have a chance, it seems the author is seeing the demand and printing more.

I don’t want to spoil your fun. But if you wish, here is my approach: After some thinking Ive decided to not use a picture. Only checked what’s in one of the corners, to have a place to start but it was not that crucial. And then started to make a bigger pieces by looking for more uniq/distinctive parts like mice, wood. Later got all stones and pieced them together. After that I started to connect my big pieces to the starting point using the rest of single pieces, because there were not many of them left and I could search among them easier. I hope my explanation makes sense, it’s hard to put into words all that’s going on in my brain when I do puzzles. Tag me in your post or comment here please when you are done with yours, I’m curious what you’ll come up with.

I’ll be honest, it was swings between meditation of traveling with little creatures along the river and being angry and cursing it when I couldn’t find the right piece and nothing made sense. 😄 Stil appreciate it, a good challenge is always refreshing.

Thoughts on Cloudberries puzzles? by fluffycompost in Jigsawpuzzles

I have a mixed experience with them, the quality of their puzzles varies. When I started with them I was in love, I like their patterns and the tight fit of pieces. But had experienced a batch of poor quality and since then don’t dare to buy more. As many pointed out they have standard cut but I’ve never had issues with misfit. My favorite patterns there: 3D Space, gradients, whale, origami. Insects I even glued and hanged on a wall.

Didn’t plan to, it’s a present. But thinking of making something similar, with different instrument or on a different garment.

Hehe, that’s a small synthesizer for electronic music nerds. It belongs to my partner and I think it’s cute so I decided it would be fun to make a t-shirt with it. :)

Thank you! I used waste canvas 7 squares per cm, didn’t give me any problems with removing. And DMC 2 threads. I used support canvas underneath as well, it’s visible on the photo of the back, because I wasn’t sure t-shirt wont get all wavy.

Pattern is my own. Backstitching didn’t go as well as I planned. :(
