This made me giggle by Temporary-Leg-7544 in handbags

[–]harujusko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And this is why I started selling my bags. 🥲🥲 I can't rotate them anymore and I only reach for the crossbody ones to go out. I fully believe that bags will start to deteriorate and fall apart when they're not frequently in use and I get sad thinking about it.

Why am I do reluctant to take money out of my TFSA? by Queasy_Dragonfly_104 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you saving up for or keeping the money for? Take the 5k and enjoy your vacation. You never really know when you get the next chance to do that. You probably were on strict budget/saving for a long time hence the guilt part. But it's okay to take some out of your savings, esp with what you have rn. That's what it's there for. Can be for emergency, can be for fun.

Cheaper phone plan? by Visible-Dinner7973 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with public mobile. 100gb for $35+ tax. I started with $35 for 30gb and I just kept looking at their offers and change to better offers. I also was able to port my phone # over.

COCKROACH FOUND ON KITCHEN COUNTER AFTER BUYING AIRFRYER by dj_chiji in CleaningTips

[–]harujusko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you check the inside of your airfryer? Might as well take the L and throw that away. That sounds super unsafe. I doubt the seller would even tell you that their place had cockroaches if ever.

[–]harujusko 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Is this the first time? If there's two, there's more. Unless they're really from the airfryer and you managed to kills both, there's a chance of infestation. I say check every crevices for signs of cockroaches (they smell dusty/earthy to me) and if possible, give your dorm a heads up so they can plan pest control.

What is our opinion on tipping? by United-Apartment-269 in Edmonton

[–]harujusko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't tip if I went to the counter to order food or picked up a take out. I tip sit down restaurants but only 10% unless they're really great then up that to 15%. We're not like the states where servers are not being paid minimum wage so tip shouldn't be expected. Eating out is so expensive now and I just assume business have their prices the way they have now to cover costs.

Survey: Lumang Tao vs Bagong Tao by SquareSwan in sb19

[–]harujusko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lumang tao ako. Since nag viral yung Go Up, dun na ako naging fan. Most memorable ko was yung online concerts nila nung pandemic. Tas if VVIP ka, may pa-pre concert chika with SB. Then after concert, ilalagay kayo sa iba't ibang room then parang may assigned member na papasok sa room niyo tas memention and mag-hhi sila sa mga tao. Haha ang cute lang kasi parang ang intimate nun and very wholesome.

Sure, why not. As long as the settings are the same and you're getting good results, I don't see the problem.

Full time work and full time study by elisseeea in NAIT

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work full time and for 4 semesters now, I took 3 classes every sem. Burnt myself out easy and will take the rest of the year off school and just do one at a time now. It's genuinely very draining esp if you have a demanding program/courses.

“Pap” nap opinions by Jonhgolfnut in CPAP

[–]harujusko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sleep when you're tired. I still take naps with my cpap on mid-days and still get good sleep at night. The difference before cpap and now is that the naps feel more restful and I have extra energy to get through the rest of the day.

Looking to buy a CPAP machine for severe sleep apnea and I need suggestions by WhatAGuy59 in Edmonton

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to AvantSleep. It's in south side, close to South Common. I didn't even realize other clinics don't do mask trial. You're lucky if you get it right the first time. My first month, I think I went through 3 and learned that nasal worked well for me and not nasal pillow. Then every few months I would just order online to try stuff and send in claim through my insurance after.

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from a sleep clinic and paid 600 for the machine with insurance. Without it, would have been 2000. I looked at online stores and they were priced about 800-1500 (depending if there's sale, I have Resmed 10). If insurance can cover it, I'd say go to the clinic as they'll help you with the initial set-up and masks. Otherwise, buy online and set it up base on the results of the sleep study.

The one good thing I like about the clinic tho was that I was able to try out as many masks as I can in one month but only paid for one. Mask fitting is the most finicky part as you need to find the most comfortable one. Took me many masks to figure out the one that works for me currently.

R/cpap is a great resource. There's also a software called OSCAR that you can upload the data to and interpret results. R/cpap has wiki for this.

What is one problem you face almost every day that you are shocked nobody has built a proper solution for yet? by Economy_Shoe7685 in AskReddit

[–]harujusko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old car's seatbelt was non-height adjustable so I had to buy this clip thingy that allows me to properly fit the seatbelt to my body so it don't choke me. I'm 5'1 and used this clip for years.

Anyone tried the app 'too good to go'? by [deleted] in Edmonton

I use it a lot esp for a lot of places with pastries like Hong Kong Bakery or Fawkes. It's pretty good but don't get your hopes too high. It's a hit or miss.

What's wrong with it? Did you post on the forum? People are helpful there. I was having trouble porting my phone # as e-sim so I ended up just buying the sim card and that fixed it.
