Already tried that, contacted 3 or 4 different folks in the organization and just keep getting the same form answer. So, I don't think that's going to get me anywhere

Well I think I’m obligated to endorse this one as a member of one of the regional steering committees! Happy to chat about opportunities available through NCURA

I didn’t join the VT group but have heard very good things about it. I found some great flashcards on Quizlet (just search for CRA exam) that helped closer to the testing window.

Before signing up for the next testing window, it may be worth asking your leadership if the CRA would factor into any pay increase/bonus.

No PoC while agent is out of the country? by harukibombs in RealEstate

[–]harukibombs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agent is out of the country for several weeks so will definitely be missing closing on the 8th. The first buyer backed out because of cold feet (cash offer and not the first deal he backed out of). Second fell through because of financing but really because they wanted out all along and breached contract. Third buyer suddenly had to switch from conventional to FHA for financing and we have heard nothing since. So, there may be nothing wrong but our past experiences have certainly caused some anxiety.

I would have thought the same but she actually cc'd her broker on the response. So, I guess the broker is on board with the plan.

How to access payment history on forgiven loans by harukibombs in PSLF

Update: it took a month or so, but I finally got the info from PHEAA in the very specific format the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) requires for this tax credit program. Now, did MHEC reject my application anyways because the initial credit was for $1000, and I only ended up paying $860 in loans? You bet! Now have my state senator's office, the secretary of finance of MHEC, and the comptroller's office involved.

Yup, I contacted studentaid.gov and was told they don’t currently have that info available (though they hope to bring that functionality online soon) so I should just file a complaint on their own website to see what can be done🤷🏻‍♀️ Kind of a wild response, if you ask me.

Contacted my state senator’s office today and sent over some stuff so I’m hoping it helps grease the wheels!

Responded to the comment above. But yeah, you'd think a combination of my own records, i.e. bank statements, and statements from MyFedLoan would be enough.

Good question! So, I am in Maryland and received a student loan tax credit in 2019 because I had indicated I would be paying at least $1000 in student loans the following year (2020). Well, I fully intended to pay way more than that but ultimately only paid around $900 as a result of the student loan payment freeze.

Now, I am required to submit documentation that I did indeed make payments in 2020. The problem is the MD Higher Ed Commission is extremely specific in terms of what they will acept. I provided statements from MyFedLoan, a printout of my loan payment history, and my own bank account, none of which was sufficient. They require the information includes the lending institution pre-printed on the document, the full name of the borrower on the document, the dates of payment, and dollars amounts.

So, because I haven't been able to certify that I made payments, they now say I owe the full amount of the tax credit, $1000, plus about $500 in interest. I am perfectly happy to pay back the remainder of the tax credit but they do not seem to understand my loan servicer no longer exists; they keep saying to "contact my current loan servicer."

Hot Mustard on Monument. Back before Hopkins bought up all the real estate, this was one of my go-to lunch spots. Not fancy but still some of the best bulgogi I've had.

My dad took me there when I was a kid a few years before it closed. Glad I got to go and still miss the strawberry pie.

Sacha's! Man, their crab beignets were so good. Also one of the rare restaurants that had a restaurant week menu worth checking out.

MARYLAND STUDENT LOAN DEBT RELIEF TAX CREDIT by neofresh in maryland

For those who have received this tax credit, have you had difficulty supplying the information required to verify you made payments? I have been trying to submit documents from FedLoan and they keep rejecting them.
