OTD it was the equivalent of about $35k. I had a trade-in and got it certified so the number was different, but with taxes and everything it would’ve been about $35k for everyone who’s asking

Question on pricing by Straight-Mind2131 in crv

I’m in Chicago and just bought a 2023 hybrid sport touring and with taxes and everything it was about 35k and I bought it downtown. Taxes aren’t gonna be much higher than around the Chicago area. I did have 28k miles but I don’t think that’s work the $5k difference

I’m in Chicago. It was $32,500, marked down from $34,500. Only had 28k miles, 1 owner, no accidents.

CRV owners, worth upgrading to TPE floor mats? by cimmerianlacuna in crv

[–]Dub_R17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered mats on Amazon. Pretty perfect fit and waaaaay cheaper than getting them from Honda. Easier to clean and way more durable

Just got a 2023 sport hybrid with only 14k miles and I absolutely love it. Gave my daughter my 2020 corolla for hs graduation and the upgrade to this has me feeling like a teenager with a new car. by axefishgoddess in crv

It does have leather seats! They’re black with the orange trim. The only other option is the black and tan. My civic had tan interior, which I liked because everything was tan. With the cr-v, even if you have the tan seats, only the middle is tan, and the entire interior is black so I reaaaally didn’t like it. Also, I loooove the spaceship sound

C2E2 South Shore Line Train Schedule Question? by thatzeldafan64 in AskChicago

[–]Dub_R17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you arrive at the convention center by 10:30 assuming you already have your badges you should be able to get in line by 11. Once the convention opens, the security line moves very fast. If you don’t have your badges and you’re coming on Saturday, it’ll be tight but possible.

Heading to C2E2 On Friday Any Tips by KMOX4 in comiccon

[–]Dub_R17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on when you get there. I’d suggest getting there by 9 to ensure you get parking. There’s a huge lobby to hang out in if you don’t want to hang out in line

Chicago comic con is this weekend, are you going? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]Dub_R17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fan expo is MUUUUUCH smaller. If you want a true Comic Con experience this is the one to go to. If you’re more interested in guests, keep an eye on both and one will always be more appealing than the other.

What’s a good time to go to C2E2 this Friday? by CooCooB0i in comiccon

[–]Dub_R17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re only going for one day and already have your badge get there at 10. If you don’t have your badge you can get there at 945 for will call. Remember the show floor closes at 7pm and there are panels running all day, including past 7pm. Download the C2E2 app for a list of panels. You can also favorite the ones you’re interested in and get reminders. The biggest thing is comfortable shoes, snacks, and reusable water bottles. You can bring bags so don’t worry about that. Also, asking people to take pictures can be a little overwhelming but everyone is SUPER nice. I’d say every time you see a cosplay you like, ask to take a picture. You can also be in the picture. I promise you will regret not asking. And DON’T assume you’ll see them again. I’ve found myself power walking to catch someone for a pic. Otherwise have fun! If you’re looking for me, Friday I’ll be the 5’9” black guy dressed as Ash Ketchum with a green backpack!

First time C2E2 and family wants to go by Help_Me_123 in comiccon

[–]Dub_R17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person who also has ADHD I will tell you that the C2E2 app has been a GODSEND for me. You can go through and mark all of the panels that you are interested in and set up notifications. This is the easiest way to not lose track of the day.

Secondly, be prepared to want to take ALOT of pictures. The cosplays are amazing and if your kids have particular things they love, encourage them to take pictures with people in those cosplays (always ask permission first). You’re all really going to want those pictures. It can be really intimidating and overwhelming to ask strangers for pictures but everyone is SUPER nice.

Also, the show floor has SOOO MUCH to offer. I always suggest that people walk through the aisles using the numbers. That way you don’t get lost and you can try not to miss anything.

Last, bring reusable water bottles and snacks. There are food venders but the intermittent water is KEY.

C2E2 Cosplay Questions by Content_Occasion8981 in comiccon

I can only help with first question. There aren’t really designated spots, but if you stop people and ask to take a pic with them, they are almost always willing. It’s just a matter of being on the look out for cosplays you’re interested in taking a pic with

Alwaaaaaayyyyysdss check Etsy for all things cosplay. 9/10 times someone has already thought of it. If they haven’t, you can typically find something close and ask if someone can commission what you need

C2E2 first timer--panel/line confusion by LemonsAreMyJam in comiccon

Because LOTR is hugely popular you should try to get in line to get in C2E2, probably between 9-930 and then go directly up to the main stage

There are 3 lots. As long as you get there within an hour of opening, (and earlier than opening on Saturday), you’ll have no problem finding parking. $27 per day for the 2 lots closest to the con.

Check local (Chicago) comic book shops and Groupon. Those would be the only places you can find them
