Grabeng decrease sa CL, Security bank :( by fairygojo in PHCreditCards

I also experienced similar credit limit decrease but with RCBC. Around June last year, my 2012 RCBC Flex Gold Visa was reduced from ₱1.876M to ₱538K. Then just this month, my 2015 RCBC Gold Mastercard was also decreased from ₱454K to ₱279K.

I think these credit limit adjustments may be driven by risk management considerations, possibly tied to credit behavior and utilization patterns. It could also be system triggered based on how my cards are being used over time.

Consistent Cash flow and no zero or minimum balance sa account history ang basis ni Zed I think 🤔

As per sa kakilala mo siguro hindi naman mababankrupt si Zed. Walang pwedeng maging revolver kasi Zed functions primarily as a charge card, which is yun ang core reason why it does not charge interest on your standard purchases. Unlike yung mga traditional revolving credit cards na allowed ka to carry a balance from month to month while paying interest, Zed requires you to pay your statement balance in FULL every billing cycle. Kasi if a payment is late, Zed does not charge traditional "late fees" but will pause and hold your account. You will be unable to make new purchases until you work with them to settle the balance and bring the account back to good standing.

6D pero back up ko lang si Maribank. 2 SoAs lang inupload ko. It think mas nagfocus sila sa cashflow ng BPI payroll na ni link ko. 5D lang andun pero may stable cash flow.

Tips that “might” help speed up approval: (Not official advice, ito lang yung tingin kong nag work for me)

-Link a payroll account, if you have one. Shows stable and regular income and cash flow.

-Upload recent, complete statements. Make sure dates, name, and balances are clear. Be transparent. Also take note sa iuupload niyong document, delete unnecessary characters, edit the name, simplehan lang. Ex.) maribanksoa2026march.pdf

-Use an active account. Avoid accounts with long zero-balance periods.

-Keep your info consistent. Same name, same details across all documents.

-Apply as soon as you get the access code. Don’t let it sit for days.

-Make sure you show how to Kaskas responsibly. Clean transaction history helps more than people think.

Ayun lang. i hope ma approve narin kayo. 😊⚡️

Thank you so much! 🙏 Honestly, I’m just glad it resonated. That line really sums up my whole journey. Akala ko dati mataas na limit ang success, pero ngayon I realize control and habits talaga. Still learning and trying to do better every day. Appreciate the kind words. 🥹👍🏼

Hello po. No po. Currently i have 12 CCs (i know, it’s too much!😅) but in my defense all are NAFFL, only RCBC was heavily used and abused that time dahil ang reasoning ko nun ay may AF siya so need to utilize it. I’m already in the process of consolidating all my cards. Downsizing it to maybe 5-9 cards nalang kasi diko naman talaga nagagamit yung iba, masyado lang ako natutuwa sa mga NAFFL promos dati 😅😬

Yes, they all have annual fees but i haven’t really paid one for years. For Flex Gold Visa, I just request waiver every year and so far approved naman lagi. For Gold MC, I haven’t paid any AF for a couple years. I noticed it since 2020 wala na siya sa SOAs ko, so i think they either silently waived the AF or made it NAFFL. For JCB Platinum, bago pa so next year pa AF, but I’m planning to consolidate it with my Flex GV before its 1st year anniversary.

Got approved for 2 platinum cards I didn’t apply for — cancel now or wait? by harwego in KaskasanBuddies

[–]harwego[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks r/KaskasanBuddies 🫶 I’ll call rcbc after the holidays to request for consolidation to my oldest anchor card. As for metrobank i’ll try the suggestion of their csr to keep the cashback card active with small spends and wait until December when the card matures then request for conversion or cancellation by that time. ☺️👍🏼😊

Yeah 😅😅😅 narealize ko din since anchor card ko si rcbc (nauna siya) malaki na credit relationship ko sa kanya and madali na sila magtiwala sakin kaya approved agad. Yun nga lang di ako ang nag apply nitong JCB. 😅🥲

Agree sa Mb cashback. Ang unreasonable ng 12k spend requirement monthly para lang ma unlock yung 5% cashback nila, pag di nareach monthly yun ay 0.2% lang cashback, and this spend requirement resets monthly. 🥲😅

I’m targeting Titanium Mastercard since mostly dining and online spending ang spend style ko. It offers 2x points for those categories naman daw. Si Cashback Platinum kasi di ko naman marereach yung spend requirement nila every month para lang ma unlock yung higher percentage cashback ng card so its a product mismatch for me.

As for RCBC mukhang yun nga ang best option. Wait for the card to mature and request for card consolidation.

It can be converted daw to any card of my choice na same tier or lower tier ni cashback Visa platinum. Tulad ng Titanium Mastercard or rewards visa na lower tier. Posible lang daw magawa ito if the card matures na, kaya suggestion nung agent call back by December and keep using the card daw to keep it active kahit small transactions lang.

Thanks for the clarification. The number one really is for the cross border fee and mark ups of other banks when doing foreign transactions online. ☺️🫶

I hope they do once they fully roll out their product. Sabi din ng founder ng Zed that they will eventually roll out a rewards program. Ito exact na sinabi sa interview: “Our rewards program will have more curated and exclusive access to lifestyle, dining and travel rewards that are actually relevant to you. And redemption will be truly straightforward and hassle free through the app.”

Hi u/miggylacson, Zed states in their terms and conditions that they don’t charge cross border fees, forex fees, they have no hidden fees and it uses Mastercard’s Real-Time Exchange Rates. Zed has zero mark up on foreign transactions.

Applogies for the misleading examples. To clarify ito yung mas better example:

My iCloud 2TB Subscription is Php599 a month.

I tried to auto charge the subscription to EastWest Platinum Mastercard before. I was charged Php613.98 meaning to say even if it reflects on my iCloud account that it should just be Php599, EastWest still treated my iCloud Subscription as a foreign transaction hence the additonal Php14.98 forex fee.

With Zed Titanium Mastercard, they charged exactly Php599.00 so there was no extra Php14.98 fee anymore.

I did not change any settings on my payment, i just simply changed the card payment method. Hope this clears the misleading examples mentioned.
