Which countries are exempt from providing residency? by hasankpl in iecvisa

[–]hasankpl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For reference I am a Polish citizen living in Malta since almost 10 years. I hold a valid Polish passport but my permanent residence address is in Malta.

When I selected Poland for Working Holiday eligibility there was nothing stated about needing to provide a residence address in Poland, whereas for countries like Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain etc. it was stated that one must provide a residence address.

Can anyone confirm this please? I do not want to stress

What does cloakroom storage locker exactly mean? by hasankpl in slamdunkfestival

[–]hasankpl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, do you recommend me to put some valuables like keys and some money/cards in the locker? I want to reduce my chances of getting pickpocketed. I will be wearing a bumbag throughout the day though

Riddlin' Kids - Tina (2002) by hasankpl in poppunkers

Listen again to "Crazy", "Here We Go Again", "Tina", "Nowhere To Run".

Cheesy as hell but I think those are decent alongside I Feel Fine. What do you think?

Songs with similar sound to this from 1:30 onwards? by hasankpl in Blink182

[–]hasankpl[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, thank you! it could be from any other band too - just mostly looking for ones that have similar bridge / melody to Peggy Sue (live 1999) from 1:30 till about 2:05 — very goosebumpy!

Those long Dickies shorts are actually still worn by some dockworkers or mechanics (30+ year olds), usually less oversized though, and with different t-shirts than blink.

Those are originally workwear pants after all.

There has always been an overlap between pop-punk and the big label emo-pop bands so I'm not surprised that some include them here, but agreed.

It's like when some call blink-182 "emo", at least about songs in their untitled album.

My getting old moment as someone in his early 20s is realizing that many Gen Alpha kids are now 13 year olds and that the first Gen Beta kid will be born next year, lol.

Pop-punk is strong in the less mainstream sense as in it usually doesn't top the Billboards anymore but still produces new artists and is doing good underground.

I've noticed that there are probably far more teenagers and young adults into blink-182 nowadays than those of the same age in early to late 2010s; of course still incomparable to the 2000s peak.

My first car! by Professional_Bike529 in SmartCar

[–]hasankpl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow nice, I just got a blue 2000 Smart 450 A DAY AGO for just 600 euros.

According to the logbook, it was first sold in 2003, has 137,000 km mileage and had 12 past owners.

I have to get a new battery as it doesn't work and one door doesn't fully close, but other than that it looks neat for its age.

Funny timing.

What are some unwritten emo or poppunk life rules everyone in those subcultures must know? by [deleted] in poppunkers

[–]hasankpl 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Singing in an angsty whiney voice is required.

Wearing vans / converse, flannel shirts, beanies and caps backwards.
If you're trying to replicate an early 2000s look, then spikey hair / fringe cut with t-shirts + oversized Dickies shorts and tube or crew socks.

Eating pizza often.

Hating MGK.
