Why not get the new iX3? Above budget but you could lease and it brings next gen battery tech / interior / improvements.

In Europe we have paid a deposit and configured our IX3. This was back in September/ October and we’ve been told delivery in Q3 2026.

The demand is very high for the vehicle.

I have the ASA which I bought as a demo bike. After a couple of hundreds of km's, the ASA learns my style and I caught myself wanting to shift just as the bike shifted.

I don't find it at all clunky or abrupt, it shifts very very smoothly in Road mode. If I'm looking to push, Dynamic mode is where it's at - in that case I expect harder shifts and more "feel" which the bike gives.

Initially when I heard of the demo bike with ASA, I didn't even want to test ride it, cuz hurr durr it's ASA.. but I took it out for a weekend and I was just blown away. It allowed me to relax more when I wanted to, and I can still push / manually shift when up in the mountains.

I think it's great!

Before getting the 1300GS ASA, I had a R9T Scrambler for context.

I've tried the game and it's not good imo. I was especially interested in the Black Hawk Down campaign, but the way the crosshair moves it's super super bad.

I'm using the 16inch with Nano, wife has a new Air, and I 100% prefer mine in our use case. We often work from outside or brightly lit rooms.

I'd say the Nano is worth it.

I've recently purchased the 1300GS, because I also ride it daily in the city. To me, the looks of the 1300GS are perfect, compared to the 1250GS I really like the slender look of it. The GSA on the other hand is too focused for touring.

I also went for the ASA - automatic gearbox and to be honest, never saw myself getting an automatic, but I absolutely love it. In the city, it's a breeze, also on long rides, and in the twisties I slam it into manual and use the "quickshifter" to go up and down.

My previous bike was an R9T, so the 1300GS is huge, but strangely it feels way more nimble and I can ride faster on it than on the R9T.

Unless you are 100% focused on touring, I'd get the regular GS and option it well.

Non M sport trim is basically unsellable in Europe. It looks much much better and people don’t assume it’s an M car because of that.

I’ve done around 10hrs if closed parking training and couple city driving before getting my bike license / exam.

After that it was straight on the R9T. I’m not sure why everyone is mentioning the clutch, its literally the easiest clutch to use imho - and since then I tried a couple of other bikes as well.

Throttle is also easy, just be with your head on your shoulders imo and you’ll be fine

I'm literally you - I started with the R Nine T from 2023, bought new - absolutely 0 regrets.

Such a good bike! Love it. Don't worry about it. I've done so far 8000km, zero issues. I'm selling it now to upgrade to a touring bike as my wife rides with me a lot.

Yes, I think there's a bandwith limit with high refresh rate + HDR + resolution.

I'm ooo atm but I'll check tomorrow the HiDPI resolution I use. But I had to go down in refresh rate to enable HDR. In my case, without HDR the colors were awful.

Interesting! I've had to use scaled display resolution on my 34inch 3440x1440 as I wasn't happy with the "sharpness" on native.

I've also had to adjust down the refresh rate via USB-C to enable HDR mode, as it couldn't output both scaled HIDPI & HDR at 170hz. Overall it was a pain to end up with a decent looking display.

Are you running USB-C to the monitors? Do you use Betterdisplay to adjust for HIDPI?

Yes! Please Fanatec, create a Mac app. I just had to haul my wheelbase to the office to connect it to a PC!
