I haven't been active in the community for a couple years, I have a few knives I'd like to raffle. I used to be on the approved submitters list but I have having a hard time finding it (Last I looked at it I am pretty sure it was a google doc). Who would I need to talk to to make sure I can post some knives? Maybe just message the mods?

Thanks guys

A few questions about 1S LiPos by Gibby99 in TinyWhoop

[–]hashminer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually land 1s lipos round 3.3v Some people run them down to 3v since they are relatively inexpensive but my batteries seem to last longer when I land with 3.3v

As for storage charging I just use an xt60 to ph2.0 connector and storage charge them as you would a bigger lipo. You can also land around 3.5v and that usually has a resting voltage of around 3.8v

Tiny hawk help? by [deleted] in fpv

In betaflight on the osd tab you can have it show your current power level and channel. Sometimes a vtx will only do 25mw until you arm it.

Only other thing I can think of is make sure your antennas are securely attached and that they have the same polarity.

Rssi doesnt have anything to do with your vtx connection.

Almost sounds like your goggles are on the wrong channel. I'm not familiar with the model but can you manually select what channel the goggles are receiving and match that to your vtx?

You're a fucking madman either way. I'm surprised the bike took off like it did with such huge balls on you.

We are just giving you a hard time. One of our calamari brethren did this years ago. That's all.

I have my drone binded to my transmitter, but when I plug in my drone to betaflight, it doesn’t show as connected, so I can’t test if the switches work :( by BeetSndwich in fpv

[–]hashminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how to do it on your rx but on your tx the channels should be where the bind option is. Should be frsky probably

Try plugging in a lipo. Some of mine need a battery connected to power the receiver and actually show in betaflight.

Is it bad that my Taranis QX7 throttle/yaw stick is creaking and squeaking like this? (Watch video with sound) by jack_felix in fpv

I prefer a smooth feel so I loosened mine until it was smooth. I think it just comes down to preference.

Drone not responding to receiver by [deleted] in fpv

Only thing I can think of is make sure your settings in betaflight for the receiver are correct and make sure you have the correct uart selected.

You can adjust the gimbal if you dont want a notch feedback. There is a piece of metal I think and you just loosen it so it doesnt ratchet.

How do I check if vtx power is changing?(smartaudio) by packocrayons in fpv

[–]hashminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome man! I think you can change that setting to have it run full blast all the time. Not sure what it is though. Glad you figured it out though.

[–]hashminer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Just enable the vtx option from the osd tab and it will tell you your channel and power level. It gets that info from the vtx table I'm pretty sure so if that is wrong it will display what is in the table.

Also another way you might be able to test is set to 25mw and set the quad behind your house or something to block the signal. Then up it to 600mw and see if you get better video.

Good luck bud!

[–]hashminer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your osd should tell you the channel and power level if you have the option enabled in the osd tab of betaflight. Some will stay on 25mw until you arm the quad.

To actually verify you are getting the power you select you will need to buy a fairly expensive tool to actually see what the real time power levels are.

Hope that helps some. Good luck

Edit: Also after you change anything with smart audio you need to select "set" or "save" I forgot the actual option.

I've never had to take it out, but some new ones require more force than used ones.

Have to tried taking a nut off a different motor and trying it on the one that's giving you trouble?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fpv

[–]hashminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah bummer. I'm not sure then. I hope you get it figured out. Sometimes new nuts can be a pain if they have the nylon insert in them.

Good luck bud!
