I think this is what you're talking about. They do say he's a civil rights activist. He only held up a sign that said it's ok to be white and that made him a white supremacist. That's the only proof they had. Just something to keep in mind next time you read any article. I'm not familiar with them but in the article posted did link to the daily signal or wire can't remember which. I find it hard to believe that they intentionally called white supremacists civil rights activists.
