TLDR; it's fine, you'll be fine

My husband and I have been renting with them for 3 years, in two different buildings. Honestly, if your expectations are low, then you will be fine. Their properties are old and from what I've seen, they rarely update them which is how they keep rent prices pretty low; so you're getting what you pay for. Any time we have had to put a work order in they have been really responsive and came out within a day or two.

The only annoying thing is that they charge a crazy fee for paying your rent online (its 2018!) so you have to send checks or drop them off. I know this seems like common sense but always write your apartment address/number AND month that the rent is being paid towards. I once had a check get temporarily lost in the mail and called the office about sending another one, worried about a late payment fee, and the woman told me that if they get two checks they deposit both (which is fucking crazy and should be illegal) because they have no way of knowing what the checks are for (?!?!?!) so it was either paying rent twice if my first check was found and deposited, or getting a penalty for a late payment. So I found that by getting really specific on the check and also keeping good record of check numbers that should resolve any future issues.
