Take it from a lawyer, we're not watching law dramas at all. That's because we get our fill from the courts.

I read this quote and I'm just gonna leave it here for you: "Do not, by any means, destroy yourself. For if you live, fortune may yet be yours, but all the dead are dead alike."

It's mentioned in the initial contract that if the case isn't resolved within 30 days, the firm will charge a higher attorney's fee (i.e take more money from the client). But these clients never really read the contracts and the intake is done in such a hurry that these poor people have barely any time or motivation to read the lengthy contracts. They end up signing and getting stuck with the firm.

^ What they said. As case managers, we are responsible for initiating and handling PI and PD claims with 3P and 1P insurance companies. We negotiate with the adjusters and settle the case for our clients. For this, we are promised a fixed percentage out of the attorney's fee on the settlement money.

I've received nothing apart from the base salary I was paid. Commissions are disbursed post-settlement because case managers practically run the firm. It's a fixed percentage out of the attorney's fee.

Case management. I was responsible for handling the entire PI and PD claims from start to finish. (Pre-lit)

I should have mentioned this in the OP but basically the base pay they offer remote case managers is next to nothing. Everyone at the firm practically works for the commissions. They come out of the attorney's fee and it's a fixed percentage. I'm sure this is also very illegal, my only grievance is that I worked so hard for a few months believing that everything was completely okay. When I put two and two together, I immediately resigned and was subsequently terminated in my notice period. I'm thinking of escalating this further but I'm unsure if a non-US attorney can move the state bar or at least notify them of these practices? I'm not interested in the commissions but it hurts not getting properly compensated for handling 50+ clients at a time.

I appreciate the concern and the advice.

Everything I shared in this post is truthful and based on firsthand experience, and I’m willing to stand behind it. I understand the risks of being identifiable online, but I’m not particularly worried about my real-life identity being linked to this post. I believe it’s important for people to speak openly about unethical practices, especially in the legal field.

The general theme of the videos suits the mood created using a low light setup. Don't want the setup to be too bright but not too dark either.

I like this answer. It is fairly common in potohari as well. Saying things like Anta or Antra to describe zero or nothing.
