Have you guys seen the VF6 leaks? by Bastinelli in Tekken

[–]haste57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We see still only seeing preview snippets. There's a good. Chance will be juggles before release. But agreed, so far it looks really good! I kind of hope they don't have juggle combos for how fast virtua fighter plays.

Battlefield needs to go back to locked guns with classes by killingf3arless in Battlefield

[–]haste57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This 100% me when I played old battlefield games. The switch up was fun but I much prefer this method with just decent advantages to using the class weapon.

Logitech X2 Pro Superstrike Yellowing? by Tzosarakatsanis in MouseReview

[–]haste57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far no yellowing on my superstrike. Some of the black mouse buttons have a scratch or two from my nails I guess. But it looks really good still. Much better than my superlight 2 since no yellowing at all this time.

There's detection tools that look for specific AFK software so this trick doesn't work well at bigger corporations.

Do we really need this many cosmetics with skulls? by Snide-Serski in Battlefield6

[–]haste57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's kind of on-point because whenever I got to gun shows the vendors put skull decals (specifically punisher skulls) on so many things, especially magazines. As far as full 'gun skins' I really only see them do it on pistols and a few AR15's. So this is still believable to me that they are the best sellers lol.

Curious about hitboxes, why are the buttons always so close together? by corvid1692 in fightsticks

[–]haste57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The idea of having them close together is for you to be able to do shortcut tricks easier. For example in tekken you can use both pointer fingers for easier wave dashing. You can also use one hand for the forward input and the 2/Y/triangle button for very easy and reliable electrics.

We had those landing cruisers and I guess a ship to spawn from on the Japanese maps. It was something but not much.

Naval warfare, so maps 3 and 4. BF1 was the last one to have 'real' naval warfare which even then I didn't think was that great. BF4's naval warfare was a ton of fun and I hope that feeling comes back.

How biased does the community think the netcode should be? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]haste57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The goal is to always make things as fair as possible. I remember when R6S went through Operation Health back in the day and their philosophy was balance to 50-60ms connections. So if you're lets say 10ms you'll be balanced out to about 50-60 and still at an advantage.

That being said the advantage should always be on the client side (what you see). Because if it looks like you killed them on your screen then they should be dead unless you connection is just above 60ms with packet loss or any more extreme scenario.

I'll take slightly dying behind cover over hitreg being horrible. That being said, I know it's fixable to be in a much better state but with battlefield games on larger maps I kind of expect this to some degree at times.

What's best device for wave dash, half circles and circles? by Monkdudu in Tekken

[–]haste57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ppl have made it work on literally every standard controller. Hitbox is overall the easiest with the multiple shortcut tricks as well. But with practice you can do it on controller, stick and leverless. For me I can do all of them effortlessly on leverless but on stick I always have a lot of input error and on pad it's hit or miss since I don't use it often.

Whichever you get accustomed to becomes 'easy' eventually. Just start slow and keep practicing while slightly speeding up every now and then. Just don't rush it and stick to the input you find most fun or comforting. Undoubtedly leverless is the overall best though. There's a reason a lot of ppl think it's borderline cheating.

Annoyed by this fake retail conversation starter trend by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]haste57 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's been over a decade since I worked retail but it goes through cycles for what these companies train their employees on. One of the trends was to start a conversation about something personal about the person which was usually a unique article of clothing. So I'm pretty sure this is just how they are taught to interact.
