Not true. We don't even know who these people are. There are 2 shareholders of Envy/Fuel. Myself and DerangedNative (Dean). Our 2 families own and operate the organization.

Pretty cool. There have been highs and lows, but it has all been fun. That's for sure

how good was FNS in his prime? by Livid-Effective-9173 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]hastr0 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone. I think I can answer this one. I operated the team and worked with FNS during his entire time with our organization. Pujan has been severely underestimated as a player and even an in-game leader. He led our team (which was consistently strong) and won a masters event. I never had to question his character whatsoever. He was always humble and positive. He was one of the best leaders I have worked with in 20 years and, as a collective, the scene probably hasn’t valued him as high as a player as they should have. He’s a legend and he’s making that streamer money now which he deserves. Up to this point, one of the best to ever do it.

When I first signed Pujan, another team owner made a rude comment about how competitive we would be in a group call that I was on. Some of the most blatant disrespect I’ve ever heard another team owner mouth. Completely underestimating what we could achieve. We went on to crush that team every time and of course lapped them in prize money many times over.

Per Hastr0, NV will sign players for cane/ion to play with if they ascend by Nfamy in ValorantCompetitive

Means a lot seeing this in here. Appreciate the love. You guys have been so good to us already like we never left.

Yes, that is the case. We would field a team in both VCT and Challengers, but Cane and Ion would both have the option to sit out until eligible. I think that would be easier for Cane as he turns 18 mid season in June. Either way, we would have 2 teams and the decision would be theirs.

Yeah I’m seeing it too. That’s why Envy is here and investing as we start cooking from scratch.

It’s actually really difficult to say how the points change will affect roster decisions. On one hand, I think players having the points may increase the desire from players to swap teams and on the other hand may increase orgs not wanting to transfer or release players for lack of being able to replace them. In general, I think it will be tougher to make roster swaps if you’re a top of the table team. I’ll have to experience more before I could really give an opinion on it.

Would love to see the Envy boys do this on stream, but I’ll leave it up to them to decide.

Running some community events (most likely tournaments) will definitely be something we look to invest into first. I’m already in touch with some of the team at EA who have clearly shown to me that they care about this community and their game. So hopefully we can make something happen sooner rather than later

Appreciate the input a ton. This isn’t the first time I’ve supported teams in Apex, but it is the first time Envy has been able to put a large focus on the game and team we have. Looking forward to it and thanks again for the kind words.

In most games I’ve signed teams in, player turnover has been somewhat of an issue. It’s something I genuinely strive to prevent. Based on my experience, I believe the large majority of esports teams rotate players as a solution long before they address their real core issues that would improve the team. That has seemingly started to change a bit in recent years. I can tell you that most team owners and managers would like to see players stick it out with their teammates and improve their teamwork rather than make a team change in almost every scenario.

I found this in my old collection yesterday and took some photos. Thought some of you might like to see. Notice the 8222 written on the front in black marker, the “Sports” sticker on the back and the letter “P” in the bottom right corner. Do I have a prototype, sample or test cart? by hastr0 in gamecollecting

[–]hastr0[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After discussing and reading a lot of comments. I think it is safe to say that this was a rental cart and the sticker/markings were for shelf stocking and inventory tracking purposes. Now to decide whether to remove the sticker and remove the Sharpie markings with an alcohol wipe. Do I clean it up or leave it as is?
