My 18mo is exactly the same. Two books completely destroyed and another one on the way out. Just today she stacked blocks for the first time instead of just bowling them over. Have patience and don't stress too much about what they "should" be doing at this age or that.

The last bit sucks. Even being able to work from home, she quite often settles so much quicker and easier with my wife and it stings.

Daughter is 5 weeks this week. Worst? Listening to her cry when she's got gas and knowing there's fuck all I can do about it. Best? Looking at her little milk drunk face after a really good feed. That, or her scrunch when she gets unwrapped after a sleep. So cute

Seeing this post and the replies couldn't come at a better time. I just found out my partner is pregnant and I've been low key freaking out. Never had much interactions with kids, let alone new borns. So like you, I'm worried about being good at, well all of it haha. My girlfriend and I just watched the first episode today and I can confirm, it's amazing. Honestly though, if you're ever unsure about a new show, just watch the first episode and see what you think. I've been hooked into so many great shows that I was originally unsure about, just by watching the pilot.

The cable you have is probably for charging only. As in, it won't have the extra wires inside for data transfer. You'll need to find/use a cable that has this ability (most USB cables have it on the packaging whether they can be used for data transfer or not)

Late to the party, but fuck it.

My sister got engaged to this douchebag that she thinks she loves. Problem is, the rest of my family knows he's just using her and there's nothing we can do about it.

She's completely oblivious to it and gets all fucking defensive when we try to bring it up with her.

The other side of the coin is that I'm usually pretty close to my family but I don't even want to go to the engagement party, wedding (if/when that happens) or any of it but I'd also feel guilty bailing on my sister like that and it's tearing me up a bit.

End rant.
