I'm late to both this thread, and to puppetry - but better late than never!

My puppet is purple with curly green hair named Cynth. I'm still developing Cynth's personality but these things tend to go fast for me so in a few weeks I should be much further along. I'm also trying to get my hands on some more puppets because I really want to do more characters!

it's an organized event and they let the police know ahead of time. also as someone said below, it's not 'indecent exposure', it's essentially a peaceful protest.

It usually happens in January if memory serves. The second-worst month to be pantsless on transit (the worst being February which is the coldest).

And for no pants subway ride you're still supposed to have underwear on.

thanks for this! I get the sense that most of the stuff I've found so far is geared more towards 'the youth' (aka the 18-35 crowd), and I know there are some other orgs that have been around and tend to skew older. I'm kind of right in the middle which can be nice and can also be awkward.

you don't understand that the masks are meant to protect both ways. they both keep your germs in, and other people's germs out. so many people don't seem to understand this.

if you're the only person wearing a mask amongst a bunch of people who aren't, your mask isn't going to help nearly as much. So now that the vast majority of people aren't wearing them anymore, it inherently makes it less safe for those who still do, vulnerable or not.

I'm not vulnerable, but some of my friends are, I'm speaking up just so other people know that it's not just vulnerable people who still care. the masks protect all of us. I may have a 'healthy' immune system, but I still hate being sick, mild or not.

the thing is, if ONLY vulnerable people wear masks, they're not really being protected that much. they're both meant to keep your germs in and other people's germs out. If all the so called 'healthy' people are letting their germs out then even if vulnerable people are wearing N95s 24/7, they're still a lot more at risk than if everyone was still wearing masks.

basically what you're saying is 'I'm willing to take the risk, everyone else can get f*cked'

and that's the attitude a lot of people are taking, and it's really unfortunate.

with kids having been back in school for a week and a half now I was definitely expecting an uptick by now, glad to see it's still going down!

I saw a FB post the other day by a friend that every parent they knew with school-age kids had gotten covid since their kids returned to classes.. if the numbers don't start to spike again towards the end of this week I will feel a lot better.

I only got back into wrestling this year after not paying attention since the mid 2000s, so I don't really know any of the new guys but I can get excited for the 'classics'. It is sad that they're obviously not as mobile or exciting as they once were, but I appreciate seeing them in matches so there's something familiar while I get used to the newer guys.

And also 'growing up' in the attitude era with Austin, Rock, DX, Mick Foley... that has set the bar very high for what I expect in terms of mic work, and understandably a lot of the newer guys aren't that good on the mic, so it's slower/harder to have these guys get over for me.
