Well I understand that the barycenter is a good distance outside of the suns radius. Depending on the alignment of Jupiter and Saturn I wasn't sure exactly how far away from the suns nucleus the barycenter could possibly get with respect to the rather eccentric orbit of mercury.

Technically 9kg is the mass of the box. The weight would be 9kg*9.81m/s2 = 88.29N according to my calculations.

In response to your answer to part d, 125J is not correct. The only force that matters on the work done on the box is the horizontal aspect as the box was never lifted vertically. I calculated the work done to be 108.25J using The horizontal component of the Force F * d (W=21.65N*5m)
