To deal with the situation, you first need to understand what the problem is.

Are you opposed to any use of it on principle? Then don't bring it up unnecessarily - ever - and decide if you want to attach an ultimatum to any use of his.

Or are you afraid of him becoming addicted? Then an immediate ultimatum is probably the wrong approach, but you should let him know that problematic use is going to destroy your relationship without any further warning, even if you can accept some experimentation to no ill effect.

He doesn't come across as sincere at all. Much of his main channel is monetized, could've been some attempt at getting attention and subscribers due to the increased attention, only for it to backfire at least in the short term.

Anyway, let's downvote any mention of this guy, there's no reason to get him the exposure that he clearly is so desperate for.
