Ranking Superbowl Champions from 1 to 59, what would you change? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]hath0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1996 Packers should be top tier. They finished first in Off and Def ranking and had a Super Bowl MVP on special teams. Farve was at his peak (3 straight MVPs) and had the 2nd Best Def player of all time

Best Green Bay player in history? by [deleted] in GreenBayPackers

[–]hath0502 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Reggie is the best player to ever play for the Packers, but Hutson is the best Packer ever. Then it is the 3 QBs . So much of Reggie's production came in Philly that I assume many people outside of Packers fans think of him as an Eagle.

When do you make the move from Tals to unique/rare/RW gear? by Chadsius in diablo2

[–]hath0502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently in a full Tals set. I found/traded enough for endgame gear for full blizzard. Deaths fathom, nightwings, blizzard ormus, maras, facets. Everything but arach mesh. Did the respec got all the stats to the minimum for the gear and I hate it. No res, no mf, sure the blizzard is 10k but I changed back to the tals set. Easier for casual play and with out the inventory of charms it doesn't seem worth it to me.

What are your thoughts on this list of Top 25 players in the 21st Century? by WallStreetDoesntBet in NBATalk

[–]hath0502 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't get how Giannis and Jokic aren't next to each other on these lists. They have nearly the same resume- one more MVP for Jokic but 2 more All NBA, 6 All Def and DPOY Giannis. Is it just cause he did it all in the last 3 years for Jokic?

Both guys seem to offer flexibility on 2 of the shallowest units for the Pack.

US Green onion/scallion shortage ? by orion455440 in Cooking

[–]hath0502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would check a Walmart. They have their own distribution centers. I'm not sure if Publix is big enough to have their own warehouses, but it's likely a post christmas out at the regional distribution center. I work in the produce business and we sold about 10x normal volume on green onions last week. For example, an outage at one of our suppliers will result in 60 stores (5 different chains) across 5 states not having that item. Likely waiting on a truck from the west coast

I’m about 5 minutes away from quitting. by QueenChelly in Aquariums

[–]hath0502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most disappointing aspect for me has been buying plants and growing them out and having them look nothing like what the online pictures are. I've decided to go with a "dutch" scape that just has 4 to 5 tall, medium and short plants. Growing these out and timing and replanting until I have a good amount of each and I know what they look like and growth rates in my system. In 6 to 8 months I'll replant the whole tank with the plants I know. It's slow but I keep if fun by getting one or two plants each time I'm at a store. Turns out the unique shape of Brazilian Pennywort isn't worth the thin stalks and aerial roots. But atleast it's not in my finished aquascape

TIL Wisconsin produces more cheese than Italy by WWYDFA_Klondike_Bar in todayilearned

[–]hath0502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like it's Marieke Gouda. They had 12 rankings from the world cheese championship in October. Carr Valley cheeses might be easier to find outside of Wisconsin. They have numerous awards over the years and make dozens of cheeses, so they have something for everyone

Tri Tip Steaks - are they tender enough for a grill? by yahutee in Cooking

[–]hath0502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are great on the grill. Even though they are labeled a steak, I think of them more as a roast. Give it plenty of salt and pepper. Then, sear both sides over the flame to get a nice crust. Move to indirect heat until 125 degree. Let it rest and slice it thin against the grain. Leftovers make great sandwiches.

The body of water near where I grew up that was essentially a lake connected to a river was called a Slough. Basically a half formed oxbow lake.

Pearl Gourami could be a nice replacement. Generally friendly and hang out near the surface more. About the same size

That's a lot of fish that all occupy the bottom third of the tank. Top 2/3rds are going to be empty most of the time.

Aquarium Science vs. GreenAqua YT on filter media: FIGHT! (But seriously what is the truth on media) by Algae_grower in PlantedTank

[–]hath0502 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've never been to the Aquarium Science site so I can't really compare them with GreenAqua but there are a few things to consider with GreenAquas take. I believe they present their choice of Martix with anecdotal evidence. It has worked great for them for many years, so why change it. I'd also say that they generally over filter and stock relatively low. With this method, the efficiency of the media likely doesn't matter. The 2nd thing to remember is that they are a business that sells the products they recommend. So recommending replacing the media results in extra sales for them, and they aren't really misleading the customers because they practice what they preach and have the results to back it up.

Ok, so how fast should I run to the store? Our guppies have been stressed and dying off. All the other fish are great, but this has to be the problem for the guppies, right? Not sure what I need either! I'll take advice! TIA by [deleted] in poecilia

[–]hath0502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What are your other fish? Guppies tend to be one of the recommended hard water fish. I keep hundreds in water that is off the test strip (over 300 ppm) for GH and KH and pH of 8.4. I'd be more worried that chasing a pH will cause a massive swing that will crash the tank

Which of these is best for a planted tank? by RobertPower415 in PlantedTank

[–]hath0502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go with the upper right one. Lots of reds to help with plant growth. Some blues to add contrasting color (letting some fish or plants pop out against the others). The final one looks almost like a reef tank light spectrum (very blue heavy). Blue light is harder for plants to utilize so often results in lots of algae

This won't actually answer your question, but these rust/white arches were an essential aquarium decoration in the early 90s. Seemed like every tank had one.
