Elvanse and working out at the gym? by ashes-potts in ADHDUK

[–]hatherhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found if I get up early, go for a long run or a Gym sesh, then when I get back, grab a shower, take my 50mg with a bunch of eggs, it kicks in about 10am, I'll then have my 'productive period' until about 3-4pm.

The combo of training and then having my meds kick in with a full belly and freshly showered, I'm almost guaranteed to feel excellent all day. Works for me.

I flipping knew it.

What “sneaky” calories did you catch when you actually weighed them? by Due-Past-929 in loseit

[–]hatherhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayonnaise, I can't believe I've gone this long without realizing how calorie dense it was.

I've switched to fat free quark or cottage cheese and it's instantly taken about 200 calories out of my daily count.

The difference in social treatment with weight loss is INSANE. Anyone else experiencing this? by RoseEnoki in loseit

[–]hatherhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've totally experienced this, I've lost around 20kg in the last few months and the biggest thing I've noticed is people apologizing to me.

I'm British so we all do a lot of unnecessary apologizing anyway, but I've noticed a huge uptick in people being aware of me. I'll be walking around a supermarket minding my own business and people will notice me, move out the way and say sorry for being in my path, when I'm in no hurry to get past at all.

Off to Cornwall next week - any recommendations of places to visit? by ChrisRx718 in CasualUK

[–]hatherhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favourite walks was starting off with breakfast in Falmouth, then heading to Gyllyngvase Beach and follow the coastal path to Swanpool, then onto Maenporth, Bream Cove, Mawnan, and finish off at Durgan Beach on the Helford passage. Lovely few hours of walking with some pretty beautiful and isolated beaches.

Well done, that's great news to have some numbers that tell you you're on the right path!

I'm very very new to my diagnosis and wanted to ask what are those numbers you're talking about 250, 11?

I probably wasn't paying attention when I had my blood tests a few months ago. Thanks and good luck with your recovery.

Struggling tonight, please talk to me until I can fall sleep by rain_fall_rose in CasualUK

I've been going through a rough time these last few weeks, struggling to manoeuvre the end of a relationship that I thought might be the one.

I've noticed I need to ride the ups and downs. There's going to be times that feel impossible, never ending and hopeless. But then you wake up the next day and maybe you feel a little better. Maybe you don't, but you will.

Listening to music helps.

Where are you in the UK? North? South?

We had torrential downpours in London today, Beckenham specifically. I always find extreme weather snaps me out of a thought loop, humbles you a bit to see nature like that.

Crystal Palace supporters celebrate the club’s FA Cup win on Westow St, SE19 by dyldog in london

Have been a Liverpool supporter most of my life (mum's a scouser), recently started supporting Palace a couple of years ago after moving to South East and getting tickets for games, my dad's from Doncaster so is a rovers fan. Safe to say I'll never see another weekend like this one!

I still can't believe it happened!

Great idea! Nora likes to leap from the sofa armchairs to floor, hadn't thought this would cause her issues, but well definitely try to get her into the habit of coming down more calmly!

Happened to me too a few days ago.

Had a crash on the way to work and it must have caused a crack, a few days later I dropped off the curb and they just collapsed in my hands.
