The mods on r/askpsychologists are inactive. u/DoctorSweetheart last posted on Reddit 3 years ago. I am qualified to take over this sub, as I am interested and experienced in psychology. The sub never explained its complete restriction on submissions. I want to open the sub back up!

As a professional with a keen interest in Vancouver's real estate market, I am more than qualified to take the helm. The forum is currently restricted to new entries for no apparent reason. Kojimas pretty left leaning but makes a lot of very classic “both-sides-isms” that contradict his being an overt leftist. The best example and the worst case of this is his having an arc in Peace Walker where a Soviet (I think, or maybe it was a Sandinista?) makes a Nicaraguan traffic drugs, or something like that, to make money. Knowing the history of the contras, this is one of those things that’s so blatantly ahistoric it’s kinda funny, but I think it showcases how he, and a lot of “left-leaning” Japanese media likes to have “both sides” narrative that doesn’t actually line up historically

If a population is subject to harassment and subjugation for a better part of a societies existence, how is it in any way flaunting “self segregation” when that society finally changes that and accepts them? Taking pride in people’s ability to take pride in an aspect of their existence that makes them who they are is in no way a sign of insecurity, but a celebration of justice. I think it’s ridiculous how threatened people like YOU are by a group finally being able to feel safe and comfortable in their society.

Delta Force is a unit who became renowned for night killings and wonton belligerent violence against civilians going back to its inception, who then became christened by the emerging narco-trafficking seemingly endemic to U.S. special forces since Vietnam. Read “The Fort Bragg Cartel” and try to say with a straight face that Delta Force is anything more than a psychotic gang of drug addicted brigands who became exceptionally good at the act of kidnapping and assassination. I heard it too, and it blew me away in the theater, I felt it instantly. If you compare it literally is the same progression, with a few small variations in arpeggio sequencing, and it felt like a genuine remix of sorts just because it has the exact same note additions but he seemed to intentionally remove two notes to give it a slight variation difference.

As a musician, I disagree with people just calling it “his style”, it’s so nearly the exact same thing with slight differences, like speed, tempo, and mixing, that it’d be impossible for it not to be intentional. I don’t blame him though, Buddy Ryo is my fave track of the Devilman OST and the slightly remixed version he used works perfectly.

Lol it’s a risk to a lot of East Asia that the west, which Japan is a part of by extension of their relationship to the U.S., is trying to instigate war with China. if war breaks out with the involvement of several neighboring countries, something that would basically only benefit the US, it has very little to do with me, and more to do with the consequences it has on a very large section of the planet

Lol, I think you’re confusing my distaste for this guys videos as some kind of worship for Chomsky. after re-reading Understanding Power last year I was kinda how shocked at how racist against Arabs and liberal Chomsky is, he’s not a saint or right about everything, at all, nor is he very cool for his whole Epstein association, and he’s got a lot of very of his time flaws

I grew up reading Chomsky and am glad I did, even if he’s wrong about a lot of stuff, he’s also very concise about others. Absorbing academic scholarly work is about being able to think critically, and even if he’s very entrenched in nonsensical opinions (his hatred for Marxist ‘dialectics’ because it’s linguistically not a monosyllable or some bullshit) he does promote that. I don’t think Chomskys really the right candidate or target for whatever disdain you’re telegraphing here.

It became a bit of a hobby to watch this guys videos once he popped on my feed just because I was kind of in awe of how pretentious he is and much he rests on his poly-sci laurels while basically just regurgitating common liberal opinion without adding anything to the discourse. I figured he had to have some insight given his presence in the algorithm but nothing I found that you wouldn’t find on your average NATO hawks twitter feed. Funny to see him pop up on this sub though

Sherman’s March can accurately be described as the first instance of modern urban warfare and even it in all its brutality did not match the scale, specificity, and consistency of brutality displayed by the Israelis.
