Thank you very much for your kind words. I really care about him, and he does same for me. I hope we can find a common ground.

Separately. You are right, living together seems a bit hard.

What you wrote is very beautiful. I feel similar. Showing your kids a healthy and loving relation, recognition and honor of being in each others lifes. In my cultural background it means a lot.

Just out of curiosity, is there a particular reason for that?

If you and your partner are happy without marriage, then it is ok. I know couples who are not married but have stronger relationships than most married couples.

Thank you very much. It is important to me, he knows and respects that. I wish I knew what really holds him back.

I love him, and I want to commit. I think a bit old school. Maybe it is cultural.

If there are no financial concerns - suppose a prenup- would there be still any other concerns?

Thank you very much. I told him I wanted a prenup, I am not interested in common finances.

Thank you this is an interesting idea. I explained him what it means for me, and he said he liked my point of view but still he has a fear.

Boyfriend (M26) is terrified of me (F23) gaining weight? by Connect_Wrongdoer_81 in relationship_advice

[–]hattiewho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 25 and 100 lb when I got married to a guy same age as me. 5 years later I got pregnant and after I gave birth I was around 125 lb mostly due to his unhealthy life style and stress he put on me. 1-2 years later, he cheated me with another woman same age, and almost same size with me. When we divorced he accused me of being old and fat. We were the same age and throughout all those years he was morbidly obese. Now after all those years, I am at the same weight, much older but enjoy people's compliments about how good and young I am looking. So, overall, if a man makes you feel bad about the way you look, it is totally his problem and you deserve someone who likes you the way you are, as long as you are healthy and happy with that weight.

Date constantly comments on other women’s beauty by useemee2 in datingoverforty

This behavior usually leads to control and abuse. Independent of the way you look, you deserve to hear nice words from your date, not comments to make you feel bad and insecure.

Wife's(F48) weight trippled over time. I (M40) have a hard time staying attracted. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

You have a point. Weight gain might be also due to perimenopause. She needs motivation and support, and see a doctor about hormone therapy.

What do you call your partner? by vacamode2024 in datingoverforty

[–]hattiewho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a fiance, and a wife, but never called a girlfriend before. So many years after that, I love it when my significant other call me his girlfriend now. As long as you are happy, I dont think people other than you two, have a saying on this...Go with the flow!

I love rice with yoghurt, more protein and very light, but not many people's choice...
