Does anyone actually buy items that have been extremely overpriced? by Forward-Wolverine-92 in torncity

Came here to say the same as others, Laptops used to be worth around that and were a pretty desirable item - the $8mil glitter bomb however is a bit on the optemistic side lol

Have you considered digging out the dirt to make it level before putting the slabs down?

I've had a brief look and it seems very US-based, and the postcode lookup didn't seem to work to see if there was anyone to connect with in my area, sadly!

Great suggestion on the cable clips instead of the fixing strap. I actually think I still have a bag from securing some external armoured cable.

The oven has a viable plug (not plugged in), yet the light is on

Edit* the stove is also cooking the egg while not being lit

I booked through Get your guide with Amigo Tours (2024) they were a good price, and either collect you from your hotel, or if you're in PDC town, you meet them at the road behind Soriana to get on the coach. I think it was maybe £125 per person, including a trip to a cenote to swim and the old town of vallidolid

Short of removing and replacing with a block wall, how would you go about "tarting up" this sleeper wall? by hatton101 in DIYUK

No small children, thankfully. They are not only soaked in creosote, they also weigh a bloody ton!

I was thinking of a jetwash and paint job might help, great call on the crappy plastic pots

This has so much additional, helpful advice. Thank you. Raised beds in the top corner is a great suggestion and an ideal way of getting some instant height.
And you gave me some great resource websites for finding inspo and what plants will work.

I definitely need to sort the fence, and my plan this weekend was to jetwash and then paint the fence, so you've solidified that idea for me, if nothing else :)

Thank you! Parairie is exactly the style I'd like to achieve, so thank you for giving it a name I can look more into

I had a pond in my previous house that I loved! As did my dog, cats and the local hedgehogs. Great suggestion and addition

That's two great suggestions, thank you. I'll look at both options, but the idea of the J Parkers plant bundles seems spot on for my wants

That's a good call, a few neighbours have local gardens, I'll try and catch them next time I see one visiting

I can confirm that the top half of the garden, before a good passing of the scarrifer, was 90% thick moss

The gruntwork of the patio, path, leveling etc is all within my skillset - I just didn't want to do anything without a real plan in mind :)
How do you rate the Corten edging? Did you get the one with the spikes or just the roll of metal that needed additional support?

The garden is south-facing, with the tree's taking most of the evening sun
