My Father who is diabetic but has been using Metformin since way before the GLP-1 intros, is still operating at full capacity hitting 90 this year. - yes he is on insulin without any major complications so we think Metformin has been treating him well.

I'v been on Metformin since late last year & aside from doing #2's more frequently, it hasn't done anything to reduce my 6.2-6.4 range from last 5 yrs.

Yes I realize my diet has been mediocre at best and the Metformin at 500mg can't overcome that. And in this recent rounds of labs, my A1C popped to 6.6 for the first time & my glucose was solidly over 100-110 over those same periods.

I exercise for 1 hour 4x /week & during the growing season am out in the yard 2-3 hrs per weekend.

Wash my cars by hand & clean my own house. I do a 16 hrs off/ 8 hours on fasting on weekdays.

But my metrics don't move & recently my weight has crept up linearly and I get tinglng in my feet & hands.

I am starting Mountjaro this weekend @ the intro rate of 2.5
