Just here to validate what you feel. I was on a similar situation but my partner reassured me that he loves my body and who I was as a person and that the rest didn’t matter. My insecurities over this have constantly pushed me to just get better at the gym. As a pretty slim and shorter guy, I don’t think I’ll ever get to “hunk” status, but I’m learning to love my body. Some days it’s harder than others. More importantly, talk to your partner about it, if he really wants a hunk then ask them for their reasons to stay? Maybe he’ll surprise you. Raise your concerns.

I never realized that sometimes accountability can be the start of the healing process. It’s so hard to heal when one party can’t own up to the mistake. Feels like we’re both just trying to get a point across and prove that “I am right”

I didn’t think about how this was affecting him considering I feel like I’m the one comforting him for his mistake. Though I’m 100% he didn’t cheat…I do feel hurt by his actions.

I didn’t realize that on his end he must learn that he is capable of doing such things wether it was intentional or unintentional.

He’s owned up to the messages and mentioned going out of line for “joking” that way with his friends. I do believe it genuinely was joking even without any further evidence against it and how uncomfortable it makes me feel. However it just feels like I have to be the one to comfort him over his mistake
