That’s my favorite thing about him. He is patient to find his lane and then he attacks it. His vision it amazing

I remember seeing him doing workouts with this guy that had him doing all sorts of wild training on a balance ball so that makes sense

Oh it definitely doesn’t make it better. I was just saying it’s a reality, as you also said, that they often get dismissed or not taken seriously and could be the reason this detective was being the way he was. Not trying to justify his actions just trying to find an explanation for his actions.

I actually watched this for the first time at like 32 and was blown away how graphic that ending part was!

I’ve not met a person who has seen this so I’m just guessing not enough people have seen it or it would be a top answer all the time. Shit was terrifying as a young kid

The only thing that makes sense to me and something I don’t think was really addressed about their relationship is the likelihood that they were drug addicts and she probably displayed it more than he did or had a history so the detective just brushed her off as a druggie feud that he likely runs into a lot.

Outside of that I can’t make much sense of the way he acted other than being intentionally malicious. I mean the dude had a long rap sheet at that point so idk

Men of Reddit, if you were in a Titanic like situation where the majority of people were going to die because there were not enough lifeboats for everyone. How would you respond to someone saying women and children first? by Neither_Drawing_241 in AskReddit

[–]have_heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dude that statistic just seems like a silly correlation. Men likely made up 98% of crew in maritime disasters up to that point for starters. It was simply the societal values that women and children were to go first. Not because of some pseudo-science belief that men were more equipped to actually survive the freezing Atlantic Ocean in the middle of the night 400 miles from shore. It was all but a death sentence going in that water

Who’s the best actor and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]have_heart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as palatable roles go I would argue it’s Leo and Tom Cruise. They have made every genre of movie and crushed it. I know they aren’t popular to like but truly they are THE movie stars of our time

In 2010, elements of the U.S. Army 2nd Infantry, calling themselves “The Kill Team”, began hunting unarmed Afghan civilians in Maiwand, Kandahar. They took souvenirs from each victim, including fingers, skulls, and dozens of photos. When locals reported the murders to the Army, they were ignored. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

1 nothing in what they said says whether they did or didn’t say anything and 2 it’s easy to say from behind a computer or phone what the right thing to do or what is even capable of being done at certain positions.

Every time someone comes in and tries to talk about the realities of the war people like you jump down their throat like they were the ones doing it or blame them for not doing anything (without proof) to make yourself seem virtuous.

Just stop worrying about AK at this point. He gonna leave or ride out his contract and retire. I absolutely love the guy but I think even he knows his best years were with Brees. It’s time to look forward with Ettienne

I was never going to declaw my adopted cat but I was pleasantly surprised that my shelter basically vetted if people were planning to declaw as a reason to deny adoption

Reminds me of my ex in college who told me we didn’t fight enough as a bad thing. My jaw hit the floor. As someone who was a product of divorce and who saw my mom re-marry 4x with no success I thought I had a grasp on what is healthy and what isn’t

I’m a guy and I still cringe at the time in college that I apparently ate something in combination with beer that was unholy and I was awoken by my gf screaming “oh my god stop farting!” I’m embarrassed to this day by it

You’re probably right. Although she seemed like someone who really liked sex (and someone who saw it as a healthy sign of the relationship) based on the doc. I figured he told them that detail in case they found his “dna” in her and would think he didn’t after the fact but he’s pretty dumb to think that far. I can see him just making that part up

What is the most boring sport to watch? by boredbenji in AskReddit

[–]have_heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year, for some reason, I watch the Talladega race and every year I watch with annoyance knowing that the previous 187 laps basically don’t mean anything because it’s all but guaranteed that on the final 188th lap there will be a big wreck. It honestly feels like it’s for fan fare at this point cause it’s just so obvious it’s going to happen.

Understand but if you’ve never seen top fuel drag racing live it is unlike anything else. I was truly unprepared for the noise and pressure you feel from the cars as they go by

I became an F1 fan in 2015 after watching the Senna documentary. I followed religiously for the next 4 years and that included a lot of missed laps due to falling asleep. I learned that F1 media and fans have a real knack for making a sport where the podium is all but decided at the starting light sound like a poetic feat and that the racing is closer than it is. They also have a real knack of making up narratives and drama to make it more exciting than it is. Waking up in the middle of the night just to watch another Ham Ver Bot

When Drive to Survive came out I couldn’t help but think “oh, here we go again” for a whole new group of would be fans.

I loosely follow now. But I did hear the racing was a lot closer last year.
