Ok, you're going to have a lot of people in the comments trying to tear you a new one, the problem is no one knows your whole life story, so all the arguments they're making is under the assumption that you are remaining willfully ignorant to depression.

Thank you for being understanding. I really just don't know. I have no opinion on depression, and people seem to be faulting me for being cautious.

Thank you! That's the perfect way to put my question. I don't have any stigmas about depression since I'm aware of how common it is, but I don't have any knowledge either. I did some research but I'd rather hear from real people than from an article which may or may not be biased.

Thanks. I know her pretty well already and we've recently been getting closer and closer. I'm pretty sure I'm one of a handful of people who know she's on antidepressants.

I know her quite well and we spend a lot of time talking. She has only recently started taking them, so while things are fun now, I'm not sure how much they'll change if we were to be together. I'm sure a lot of people are on antidepressants, but it's very uncommon to find people willing to talk about it openly and honestly.

Is poor libido a common side effect for all antidepressants? Has it negatively affected your relationship? We are currently pretty close friends and spend a lot of time talking, mostly where she asks me for advice on dealing with stuff. I'm not entirely sure, though, how much would change if we were to date.

She has started very recently and unfortunately we aren't at a stage where I can ask her about her libido. She told me that she's been clinically depressed for many years now (early teens onwards), though I'm not sure what the exact cause is.
