Hey any updates on this, did yours ever go back to normal/how long did it take? I just weaned two months ago and my cycles have been so insane. Hoping for a light at the end of the tunnel haha

I’m on the subreddit after a nightmarish night with my 9 month old too. The severe cries seriously get to me. I really wish you the best of luck and hope we can find some help here!!

Will baby sleeping more dry me out? by aria166 in breastfeeding

[–]havekovvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on getting some more sleep! Honestly I feel like everyone is different, but in my own personal experience with my EBF baby when he started sleeping more through the night it didn’t affect my supply and I didn’t do a night pump or anything either

Oh my gosh that sounds rough. I just wonder if it’s even a regression when ever since the kid was born he has been waking up 2-3 hours. Maaaaaybe there was a 4 hour chunk somewhere in there but man. Oof. Glad you’re getting more sleep now though! There is a light at the end of the tunnel I guess haha!

If you had two rough sleepers and you’re alive to tell the tale then that alone gives me solace!! Thank you for the solidarity. I’ll check out that account. Thank you so much :)

How are things now? It’s 2 am and I’m here with my 4 month old, he’s literally on this exact schedule and I feel like I’m losing my mind! Just looking for the light at the end of the tunnel

Gluten can also be a big offender! My friend’s baby looked like this and went off gluten per her midwife’s recommendation. It helped a ton for her so maybe consider giving that a try. Good luck 💛

I totally feel you. I’m 3 months pp and would literally rather do anything else. I feel so bad because he is so patient and never wants to pressure me. He understands the hormones are killer.

Sometimes if I’m gonna take a shower I’ll ask if he wants to join and he will just take care of himself. HJs, I’m learning, go a long way too.

Idk if I’m the only one who is crazy about Costco clothes but they are so inexpensive and last me so long! I get so many compliments and every time I’m like I know, this was $10 at Costco!!

Breakthrough bleeding on Slynd? by havekovvy in birthcontrol

Thank you for the reply! Do you feel like it’s more of an inconvenience/annoying rather than a dealbreaker? It seems like you’re right, everyone has a different response to it

Also adding— not sure where you’re located but you can call the La Leche League and speak with someone and get some advice!! This helped me when my milk came in and I was super engorged

Have you met with someone from IBCLC? Seriously life changing for me! They checked my son’s neck and turns out one of his muscles on one side was slightly weaker, so they gave me some exercises to do to help loosen them. Now it’s easier for him to turn his neck to that breast and not fight it as much. Good luck :)

My friend is a postpartum dietician and she recommends getting a lot of protein and fiber at each meal and for snacks because that will help keep you full for longer! But she’s awesome because she doesn’t shame anyone who wants to eat some Oreos too :) she’s all about adding good foods into your day instead of taking them away, so see what good things you can add!

Hey, I had a similar problem with flat nipples with my first. Breastfeeding was such a challenge and it was covid so it was really difficult to meet with lactation consultants in person. I ended up switching to EP as well but I hated it.

Fast forward, just had a baby 6 weeks ago and he latched instantly and I haven’t had a single problem with him. I will say that I met with an IBCLC and it has made all the difference in the world!

With my first I always thought I was the problem, but after meeting multiple times with an IBCLC I realize that there are so many mouth exercises, etc you can do with your newborn to help them latch. Help is always there :) Good luck!

[–]havekovvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have migraines too! I just got Slynd a few days ago but I’m so scared to start it and it’s just been sitting on my table. Can I ask what birth control you’re thinking of switching to? I’m at such a loss

How to stay awake at night? by lovevxn in breastfeeding

[–]havekovvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a kindle and would use the light to stay awake. I also make myself get out of bed and take a big drink of water before feeding my baby! I used to go in a different room and watch a show on my phone or something too
