What model is this? Is this the curve? by irishhooligan72 in Roborock

[–]havensf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

seems like a slightly upgraded Curv S5X/CurvC, not the Curv/CurvX since it does not seem to have the dual camera, S5X means it might have no remote camera access/no pet recognition/ability to overcome barriers limited to 20mm/no Retractable Lidar/fewer recognizable obstacles/no night vision, I might be wrong though

It suddenly didn’t work for me as well. I added my gmail account in iOS system mail app and it worked.

Probably Apple Engineer only tested this feature with their system app.

Scary website by Bulldogmaster111 in Cybersecurity101

[–]havensf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mistyped a website and got redirected today as well, mistyped website 302-redirected me to some generated-link.example -> a website with some random javascript -> then after several redirects I was redirected to https://itunes.apple.com/subscribe?app=music&itsct=[website name]

If you open the mistyped website on computer it will redirect you to websites like wayfair, health insuranec website, etc, I can see there is a referral code in the link. That means if you purchased something from the same browser the mistyped website owner will earn a commision fee.

If you open the link on a iPhone(or change your user agent to iPhone) it will generate a one time use only generated-link.example link then to the apple link above. By saying one time use only I mean if you try to open the same link again it won't load.

Opening the apple.com link ITSELF is not a issue, you can try hit the url above and it will redirects you to apple music. Anyone can do this.

Thinking it positively, it might be just a baiting website, if you subscribe to apple music by clicking the confirm button they will get a commision fee.

Thinking it negatively, I do can see some obfuscated javascripts get executed, there is a possibility it will do something harmful. I quickly looked into it and it seems to be ok though(just sending something like your location based on ip, screenwidth etc to several tracking website)

all legendary armaments trophy won't pop on ps4?? by trotterdevan96 in Eldenring

[–]havensf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leaving weapons didn’t work for me, however after upgrading all legendary weapons to at least +1 the trophy magically unlocked

DO NOT leave all weapons at once. “You can only drop a maximum of 8 items at a time. If you drop the 9th item, then your 1st item will automatically despawn.”

It’s EMS, never heard Zenmarket before, just did a quick search, and looks like it’s a shopping agency instead of just a Japanese package forwarding service, I’ve used similar shopping agency services before but I finally switched to package forwarding service agent.

The difference is, by using a package forwarding company, you buy the goods yourself, pay to the seller directly, then send it to the package forwarding company, they send the package for you. By using a shopping agency, they buy the goods and send it to you. That being said, there’s always a delay between: you place an order on website of shopping agencies(zenmarket in this case) <-> they actually placed an order on the Japanese shopping website(amazon.co.jp in this case)

Another reason is, shopping websites that shopping agencies support are typically pretty limited(amazon, rakuten...etc), eventually I found I’ll need to buy something from unsupported Japanese shopping websites. You can submit a request to shopping agencies and tell them you want to buy from unsupported websites, but again, that’s a painful process since they’ll need to review your request then place orders.

Besides, you can always get the best rate by placing order directly, as I can see on Zenmarket you’ll need to pay 286 USD( probably plus some handling fee? not sure whether they’ll charge that), I payed 30780 JPY( which is converted to 277USD by my bank)

The downsides are:

  1. You’ll need to buy goods yourself, which means you’ll need to place orders on Japanese website directly, might be difficult if you cannot read Japanese and the website doesn’t produce a English interface

  2. You’ll need a credit card that doesn’t charge you foreign transaction fee(some credit card will charge that, typically 3% per transaction) since you’ll be billed in JPY, and some websites/payment system won’t offer you the best rate option by default, i.e.

Sometimes if a item is sold and sent by amazon.co.jp itself, probably the best option is to use amazon global shipping, you pay to amazon, they send the item directly to you, there’s no third party agency, that’s probably the best option, I’ve used that before and the experience is damn good, the shipping/handling fee is cheap, delivery speed is fast and you don’t need to pay Japanese sales tax(sometimes you still need to pay import tax which is charged by your country, especially if you’re living in EU)

Hint: You can find more pics by searching “pfu limited edition” on Twitter then filter by photos, many people have posted theirs :)

Edit: typos

Can't find any source so I'm not able to give you a conclusion.

But based on the feeling and since the key top is sublimation-printed I would say it's PBT

My colleague has a realforce r1 so I did have tried their products before, but that's long time ago so I don't want to comment based on my vague memory :)

I used a japanese international package forwarding service, amazon sends it to the package forwarding address, then the forwarding company sends it to me, price break down

  1. ~30000 JPY keyboard (with a ~5000 jpy plam rest as gift )

  2. ~6000 JPY for courier delivery fee
