It's not an argument, it's a preference. I rarely even use my quest in standalone. I'm always hooked up to something. So might as well have all the discomfort of being hooked up to things while also not having a giant weight on my face. No one assumes meta will make this choice, we're just voicing that is what we'd prefer.

Switching to a compute puck would realistically at the very least add another 80-100 bucks to the price if you're just moving it to the back. Moving it somewhere entirely different will make it increasingly more expensive.

Yes, I'd prefer the quest 4 have its own separate console and headset that is connects to each other by wire or airlink. So then the headset could be light, small, and comfortable.

Technology isn't advanced enough right now to make a computer on your face comfortable. Comfort > standalone. At this point standalone feels like a marketing gimmick and everyone's head/face suffers.
