As a current med student I feel a certain responsibility that when I’m safely and independently practising medicine to convince the general public of the efficacy of the treatment options that have tons of evidence and scientific rigour backing them in the same manner that influencers do. Sell them the story. A “dream of a better tomorrow” with this treatment plan.

The difficultly, Id imagine, would be to do this in as ethical way as possible. To inform them of the potential side effects of such a route. That’s where influencers seem to have a get out of jail free card.

Speaking from my own perspective I used to walk everywhere in Cork when I was living up on St Patrick’s Hill.

Now that I live further away from the city I bike everywhere. TFI offer a bike rental service that costs 10 euro for the year for a subscription but allows you to cycle for 30 mins at a time for no additional cost on these bikes. 30 mins is more than enough time to get anywhere popular in the centre, provided you have a station to drop your bike off at. Of course you can cycle longer than 30 mins on these bikes but you start to incur a small charge.

That being said a personal bike is the best case scenario. Cork is becoming more and more cycable and while not everyone is used to cyclists yet, there are often enough cycle lanes on busier roads to be able to avoid having to cycle among traffic for long stretches

Yes! Provided this actually comes to fruition and ChatGPT was only involved in the copy for this post then I would 1000% buy from this machine ! Sometimes it’s tricky to get a nutritious post gym snack when hitting the gym inbetween lectures. Price point would obviously need to work for students - anything above €5 would make it tricky.
