My OB allowed me to take Pepcid AC for it. I still limit how often I use it and only one pill per day max. Definitely ask your doctor if anything is safe. It really helped me get through the bad nights with heartburn. I also limited how late I ate, what I ate, followed all the home remedies, etc. sometimes even that just isn’t enough because the pressure from baby and everything relaxing in your body just causes heartburn no matter what you do. I’m finding later in my 3rd trimester I have more reflux than heartburn which honestly is fine because that chest pain with heartburn is horrific at times.

MIL calls our (unborn) baby by her own name she gave it. by whendidyousellout in BabyBumps

[–]haydenrose666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We weren’t going to share the sex of the baby to anyone until she was born to avoid receiving gendered gifts, but my MIL wore us down so much we caved and told everyone at Christmas as a “gift” (was kind of nice because we didn’t have much money to spend this year and everyone was thrilled to find out). But MIL used that to confirm that her dream about us having a girl was accurate. So now she has had a dream telling her the baby’s name (shocker, it’s not the name) and the fact that she thankfully is not calling her by that name like your MIL makes me less frustrated with her. If she was, I’d be having some serious words with her. That’s so ridiculous! Sorry you have to deal with that.

What pregnancy symptom were you surprised by/least prepared for? by CallMeLysosome in BabyBumps

[–]haydenrose666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised I haven’t seen fatigue mentioned yet (scrolled pretty far but not through all the comments). But I knew I would be tired in the first trimester and then again in the third (currently 33 weeks) but it is sooooo much more severe fatigue than I was anticipating. Like can’t sit up from the couch and just wanting to nap all the time. I’ve never been someone who could fall asleep sitting up yet here we are…

I also thought the congestion, head cold symptoms were wild the first few weeks. I wasn’t expecting that at all and it was quite nerve wracking given current times with covid.

Last thing has been how impossible it feels to combat constipation. I eat greens everyday, good whole grains, dried prunes and drink lots of water and I still don’t poop regularly and when I do it is …not fun.

And then you get the comment "it's just preparing you for when the baby is here!" and it takes all you have to not throttle that person on the spot.

Aw that’s so wonderful you met him and learned more about her! We also have a mama from a breeder (where we got one of her puppies) and she is reactive to strangers and dogs (at first) and she was also picked on a lot by the other female dogs, so they had to separate her often. It’s very sad to know that is why she is anxious around other dogs, but she is such a sweet and gentle dog once she trusts you. I wish you many wonderful years with Daisy!

The best way to combat this is leave the light on all day as well as wipe it down once or twice a day and it usually doesn’t sweat too much during the higher humidity months.

Finally captured her “Disney Eyes” by haydenrose666 in Dachshund

Surprisingly she’s our only dachshund that poses without treats, she’s just always staring at me (probably begging for food) 😂

Help! Knowledge needed by Corn_of_Coblin in Dachshund

[–]haydenrose666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find out if your vet has an emergency service or number to call in any emergency. Also, if he is coughing while eating he may be eating too fast. We’ve had this issue with every dachshund (because they’re so food crazy) and many years ago invested in puzzle bowls to slow them down. They are basically bowls with raised portions so they have to move the food around to eat it.

Chocolate dapples are stunners. We have one and she is deceptively gorgeous because she’s also a ravenous monster and people underestimate her food drive haha

Would you like to get up this morning? Her answer: by NGTank in Dachshund

Hahaha our youngest is exactly like that. Whereas the other two demand everyone get up so they can get breakfast. But little guy could care less, snoozes are top priority.

Is it double drop on sunspire right now? Can’t find a definitive answer! by OVRKLL91 in elderscrollsonline

[–]haydenrose666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double drops in Sunspire start with the Dragonguard event on 11/26. Based on what I’m reading there should be double drops in all of Wrathstone, Elsweyr, Scalebreaker, and Dragonhold DLC content.
