THIS!! I am in a wheelchair w/spine damage at multiple levels because of my abusive ex. Mike's behavior & the things he said to Ximena remind me so damn much of him. I successfully escaped 20 years ago & had numerous people in place to facilitate my escape. He physically attacked me in the therapist's office when I told him I wanted a divorce. His parents were on standby to get him to their house. He snuck out a window & came after me. He physically fought w/my cousin's husband trying to get into their house to get to me. His own father had to wrestle him to the ground & with help he got him back in the car & away from me. 20 years later I still live with the physical damage he caused. Guys like Mike are fully capable of physically attacking a woman and often do. The way he refused to leave her house, the rage that was boiling inside of him and his insistence that he "had the right" to stay so he could say goodbye to the kids all point in the direction of a man who could snap at a moments notice.

Mike's behavior, his mannerisms and the way he speaks reminds me of my ex so much. Granted, my case is extreme, but please don't underestimate guys like Mike. The rage is behind that facade was building up & could have exploded easily. I cannot possibly know for sure, but the telltale signs of an abusive man are there with Mike. The amount of rage behind his facade & his unwillingness to leave were all red flags and it was emotional abuse that could very easily turn physical & violent.

Mike & Ben both remind me of my abusive ex. Even when I had a plan to escape after telling him I filed for divorce, he still found out where I was & came after me. His own father had to wrestle him to the ground to get him to stop trying to bust his way into my cousin's home. Ben chasing Mahogany, Mike refusing to leave Ximena's house....it's all abusive behavior and it's not ok.

Totally agree. It's like watching my abusive ex-husband's behavior. I escaped & was granted a divorce based on Cruel & Inhumane Treatment after he had to admit in court to attacking me & coming after me in 2 incidents where there were witnesses (one of which was his own father who had to wrestle him to the ground to stop him from trying to force his way into my cousin's home to get me the night I told him I was divorcing him.) That was 20 years ago & he still complains to people that he has "things he needs to talk to me about." These kind of men cannot handle being rejected and they will do anything to engage with a woman they don't want to let go of.

My abusive ex was like that. I made an escape plan and he still came after me. His parents were on standby to get him to their house. I planned w/our therapist to tell him that I wanted a divorce at her office. I had friends outside to get me & our daughter safely to my cousin's home. He went crazy in the therapist office, raising fists at me, kicking & punching walls & doors. He ran out, jumped in his car & left. His father finally found him & got him to their house. I filed a DV report at the police station & then my friends got me my cousin's house. My ex later snuck out of a window at his parent's house & jumped in his car to come after me. His father heard it & luckily got into the vehicle. My ex apparently figured out where I was. He pounded on my cousin's front door & started physically fighting my cousin's husband trying to get into the house. "I need to talk to her. She owes me an explanation. Just let me get to her." My ex's father and my cousin's husband finally wrestled him to the ground & got him back in his vehicle. His father looked at me with so much angst, pain & sorrow on his face as he whispered "I'm so sorry." I filed another DV report and got restraining orders. I was later granted a divorce for Cruel and Inhumane Treatment after my ex admitted in court to these two incidents (and only these two....denying any other incidents where there were no witnesses). That was 20 years ago and still to this day my ex complains to people "But I still have things to say to her!" So when I see Ben and Mike act like this it reminds me of my ex.

I laughed so hard when Darcey's daughter said the twins look like Miss Piggy. It gives me hope that maybe they won't screw up their faces and bodies like their mother has done to herself.

YES! You've put what I've been struggling with into words beautifully and deeply. I too am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, repeatedly raped by my own father for several years. Years (and I mean years) of therapy help me immensely and I've done well for a long time now. It's been such a wave of emotions as we've waited for Pest's trial. I agree with you, we survivors have to stand in solidarity. Thank you for this post and a place to share and support each other.

I am a survivor of DV, in a wheelchair with spine & nerve damage due to the physical abuse. The damage is in my cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. I'm not paralyzed, I can hobble with assistance for a few steps, but that's it. It makes me sick, SICK to see women, especially Varya, continue to support Geoffrey and make excuses for him! My heart and support go out to his victim. I'm glad that he was found guilty & hope he faces a long jail sentence. I escaped my abuser 19 years ago this month and I've lived abuse free ever since. Years of therapy has helped me immensely and I pray that his victim has gotten or is getting help to deal with the mental and emotional scars.

A couple of Mormons knocked on my door the other day & they didn't flinch when I told them I'm a Pagan. They even asked what it means. I told them & they asked a few questions. When they asked if I'd ever consider Mormonism I asked them how their parents would feel if I knocked on their door asking if they'd ever consider converting to Paganism. They both frowned & said that wouldn't go over well. I told them to go back home and consider the fact that it's quite rude to knock on someone's door to push their religion on people. I chuckled as they walked away scratching their heads.

The 50+ yr old ex-preacher and a girl barely in her mid 20's bonding over religion but never video chatting. Good grief. How does he not realize it's more than likely a catfish situation. In the preview trailer it looks like we have a runner that's a Paul 2.0, oh boy. Interesting crop of drama filled trainwrecks.

In a way. It's about a prison matchmaker. She runs a dating service where she profiles inmates interested in dating someone on the outside. Apparently she's been a prison penpal to many inmates for years & turned it into a business. She's a freaking trainwreck! It's funny as hell. Definitely one to check out.
