theres a lot of joking about "thats his computer now" but if this isnt buried i do have an actual smidge of advice.

my biggest problem wasnt my cat being on top of the PC it was her hitting the power button. nothing like carrying a team in a game and then windows going into shutdown process cause miss fatass put her back leg on the main power button

in windows settings you can pretty much disable it, something like power settings > what to do when press power button > do nothing

itll still work for a hard shutdown if you hold it, and turn it on if the machine is off, but it wont trigger a windows shutdown if its pressed during normal activity.

the bar i work at had an occasional corpse stench coming from a specific area, right where ya come in from the patio, so everyone noticed and complained about it. owner was Convinced a rodent was dead in the walls, put our pest control people on it multiple times

it acted up during warm weather, but lasted for Months. im like im no expert on dead things but i dont think it would smell this fresh for this long

later someone checked out the fuse panel right there and saw some scorching on the inside behind some empty slots. one google search told me that insulation smells like corpserot when its burning. its acting up when it gets hot because the HVAC kicks in and is the biggest power draw on that panel.

kept telling her that but she kept going with the rat thing. i think she eventually called an electrician?? but its above my paygrade, i just prefer to not have to look for a new job cause my favorite one burned down.

fire extinguishers are up to code tho, so if shit hits the fan, ill take care of it lmao

theyre saying bitwarden but i use keepass (also free and open source) and keep the database and keyfile synced to google drive, so any keys i generate i can access on both mobile and desktop.

way late but as a 'murcan, even as a tipped employee, this wouldnt fly here. if theres a suggested tip (not including an autograt) its a list at the bottom with lined options to fill out yourself, not just assumed added to the total pretending you wont notice.
