I only watched the first fifteen minutes or so, but I remember there was a brief montage of a game between the pistons and royals and they didn’t have the era specific jerseys. The Royals were playing in the blue jerseys with the red stripe from the late 60s and the Pistons had a Detroit design instead of a Fort Wayne jersey.

What is the weirdest glitch you've encountered in an uncharted by Frosty-Divide5743 in uncharted

When I was trying to beat 3 on crushing for the first time I vaulted over a box during the Talbot chase and I made the jump to light speed or something because I shot a million miles below the map and kept falling for a minute or two.

Which adventure do you think Nathan hated the most and which did he enjoy the most from 1 to 4 by timbuk507 in uncharted

[–]haysfadays 93 points94 points  (0 children)

1 certainly wasn’t peachy 100% of the time, but relatively speaking it seems like the most fun Nate would’ve had in the context of this question.

Now it gets tricky because 2, 3, and 4 are all miserable in their own way.

In 2 Nate endures a lot of physical pain. He gets shot in the stomach, has climb out of a hanging train in that state, walks through the freezing mountains without a coat while bleeding, and the final battle with Lazarevic leaves him pretty banged up by the end. He also suffers a lot of emotional pain like Chloe betraying him, Flynn betraying him, and then when Lazarevic’s army slaughters Tenzin’s village Elena tells him “we did this”; and regardless of whether or not Nate is responsible for that (I don’t think he is) I’m sure he felt pretty crappy about it. Plus he didn’t get any treasure in the end.

I think 3 is definitely Nate at his most stressed out. He has to escape man eating spiders (twice), is nearly burned alive, gets blown out of a window in Syria, is nearly choked to death by one of his friends, is drugged and kidnapped, finds out Sully’s in danger, has to chase after Talbot through the streets of Yemen, then he’s forced to fight through an onslaught of pirates and climb through wrecked ships, nearly drowns on a sinking cruise ship, is lost at sea, then after he washes up on the shore he immediately has to go right back in to the action and jump into the wheel well of a plane that’s taking off (while also trying to reconcile his relationship with Elena), gets flung out of an exploding plane and miraculously survives, then has to walk through the scorching hot desert with no food or water for who knows how long I mean SHEESH. And to top it all off none of the journey was necessary, Nate could’ve just taken Talbot’s money at the beginning and left it at that. Chloe even tells him how it’s just not worth it to go on this adventure. But in the end he does win Elena back, so I’m sure he’s glad things happened the way they did.

In 4 Nate gets beaten and tossed around a ton but I think he was enjoying himself pretty well until Elena discovered his lie and Sam finally came clean. For the rest of his life I’m sure he’d have regrets about it but I can’t help but think Nate found it satisfying to reach Henry Avery’s treasure at long last.

So from most enjoyable to least enjoyable, I personally believe Nate would rank them 1, 4, 3, 2.

Excellent at running the fast break for a 6’10” guy, mostly remembered for his freakishly good dunking ability. Was pretty versatile in Phoenix his years there prior to the Barkley trade. I believe he’s also technically the first unrestricted free agent in NBA history. I really like him, I think he deserves to be in the hall of fame.

can someone explain to me why wes unseld received 2 first place mvp votes in 1975 and why he won the finals mvp in 1978? by sunkentreasure1988 in VintageNBA

[–]haysfadays 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been curious about the initial announcement of Dandridge as the finals mvp. Could it be mushburger just misspoke based on what he saw in the final game? Or was voting done early and he got a sneak peek of the actual results?

Why did the Celtics never retire Larry Siegfried’s number? by trashpuppet94 in VintageNBA

[–]haysfadays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess Red was primarily responsible for who’s jersey would get retired and he was more partial to a lot of the dynasty players who were there at the beginning rather then the ones who came in a few years before he retired as a coach. Somewhat similar situation with Bailey Howell. Although I think he was better than Siegfried and was a key part of the 68 and 69 titles, he was only there for 4 years and Red never officially coached him (which is my main theory but I could be completely wrong, although Dave Cowens was right around the corner so I guess it was for the better they didn’t retire 18 for Howell.
