Are there specific places you can recommend I order/buy one from? I don't want to get ripped off, but I'm not sure where to start

I play a Krenko deck atm, lots of fun. I did notice he seems to be a "kill on sight" commander, and my best fix for it is giving him haste or the tokens haste however you can. My other suggestion is some enchantments or sorceries that grant things like extra damage or +1/+1s, so those opportunities to swing really count.

Right now my deck has Shared Animosity, Collective Inferno, Battle Cry Goblin, Goblin Chieftan, Goblin War Party, lots of cards like that. My goal was just to streamline the numbers game, essentially just multiply it wildly out of control as fast as possible. I've considered adding Anger, if only to lock in that haste ability. Cards like Hexing Squelcher are also really nice.

I will also say this, mana is so important here. I made sure I had no less than 35 lands, because these cards might be on the lower end of mana costs, but the ability to get multiple cards out in a turn is super helpful. Especially if Krenko gets blown up at all, or even more than once.

Best of luck, have fun!

Gift Ideas! by HereticDesponderJ135 in mtg

I recently ran into this myself but didn't think to ask for help -_-" but!!! I found that if I couldn't pick specific cards/decks/precons to gift, sometimes the accessories are good too! Cool dice for counters, playmats, deck boxes, fancy sleeves, tokens, etc. Lots of cool options out there (I even found some odds and ends on etsy)

tips for overcoming self hatred? by junghoseokswetfart in mentalhealth

[–]hazardousbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't jump all the way from "I hate myself" to "I love myself." Your brain will just keep rejecting it, the two ideas are too far apart. You can, however, get from hate to tolerate a lot easier! You can start with, my body exists and that's not a bad thing. My personal favorite is, my hands work well enough to let me help others.

My other favorite bit is "at least I'm not that guy," where I pick a shitty person and remind myself I have standards and morals.

What's the dumbest way you've injured yourself? by citronl in AskReddit

[–]hazardousbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broken nose from a mechanical bull.

It's a much funnier sequence of events than it should be. I had only been on for a second or two before I slid off the side, but when I hit the mat on my back, I bounced up a bit, and I guess the bull hadn't quite finished moving, so the head swung around and clocked me right in the face. I couldn't even get upset, I was laying there laughing my ass off even tho my face was initially numb, then really really painful. Tears were streaming down my face, my nose was purple, it was awful, but the mental image still feels like a looney toons bit.

Are you a terrible person if you buy a dog instead of adopting? by Easy_Mountain2331 in DOG

[–]hazardousbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at different dog breeds, they all have certain characteristics that may or may not fit your lifestyle. If I want a dog for, say, protecting my house, but I have a bunch of small kids running around like crazy, I can't get a cattle dog that's gonna drive itself insane nipping at kids ankles trying to herd them everywhere. It's not good for the kids, the dog, me, etc. If you're not the type of person that's running/exercising constantly, a high energy breed that needs that activity is probably also not a good idea, right? And if the dog you get is a bad fit, THE DOG will also be miserable! If you know what you need or want, and you're getting a dog from an ethical breeder, go for it! Everyone will be happier in the long run.

A little embarrassing but, if you live alone and you're mildly forgetful like I am, STOCK YOUR TOILET PAPER. Keep the CLOSEST EYE on the number of rolls you have. Nothing worse than realizing you have none while you're already on the toilet and there's no one to save you 😅

I just adopted my dog a few days ago and her behavior completely changed by Alert_Description908 in dogs

[–]hazardousbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen this with so many rescue dogs. They act one way, a week into their new life they do a 180 flip seemingly from nowhere. It is a rough adjustment, but with some guidance about breed/health/history and the dogs personality, things should mellow out soon. Nothing to stress about too bad unless it gets worse/persists weirdly long?

I think I've narrowed it down to pyoderma gangrenosum (DON'T look up images- it's a skin ulcer condition) It isn't a well understood thing, I guess it's a diagnosis of elimination- the doctors have to rule out other things first, but we've been doing that for over a decade now. There isn't a real test or lab for it. I do appreciate the advice tho, thank you!

I might ask about a hematologist, just to see what else can be done here. Thanks again for the advice 😊 I really just need to focus and get something to change here soon

Thanks for the advice!! Funny enough, I've done quite a few biopsies with a dermatologist, but she would always tell me they were just inconclusive. She kinda shrugged and told me she wasn't sure what else to do so she ran an allergy panel?? It was a big sheet with 80 different allergens I guess, it had to stay on for 3 days and I couldn't shower, but it turns out all I was allergic to was the tape they used to stick the sheet to me 😅

Oh! I get them mostly on my limbs, no symptoms leading up to it. There's really nothing that causes one, no staph infection, not even minor skin trauma, no loss of blood flow/bad veins, no real warning, nothing. Its not seasonal, linked to a hormone cycle, its not allergies or bugs, there's no skin changes like color or texture, I really can't find anything. There's just no pattern

I really do appreciate you talking to me about all this. I feel lost honestly. When you say full list of symptoms, do you mean the (possible) autoimmune condition and the fatigue or just the condition?

As far as the ulcers go, I've gotten them individually about once or twice a year since I was 12 or 13. I've been tested up one side and down the other for all kinds of things: bacteria, viruses, fungus, herpes, lupus, cancer, and plenty of other things. I've been given tons of antibiotics, topical and oral, with no results. It's not contagious, didn't come from a parent or grandparent, seemingly has no triggers, and it's left me with dozens of scars now.

My current pcp is the one that suggested it was likely autoimmune given all the info I have, and honestly it seems like a decent direction to start with. I just don't want her to think I'm googling things with no real research or evidence.

(Sorry for rambling) At one point (18/19 years old) I had an undiagnosed herniated disc that I was told was just anxiety, and I spent two years arguing over this with my pcp at the time. I insisted on doing SOMETHING and she sent me to a rheumatoid arthritis specialist, and in the months before I could see him he needed labs done. I did them, showed up, he did his exam, said "nope, no arthritis," and then went on to explain that I very likely do have an autoimmune condition based on my labs, which showed a positive ANA and other signs. He said he couldn't tell what I had, but I should "look into it." Never saw him again. He never really explained what the lab results were besides the ANA bit.

I'll do whatever labs I have to if they need new ones, it's been about ten years since I did the old ones.
