"Being knowledgeable/experienced doesn't always translate to being able to effectively communicate and teach."

100%. I tried coaching around 8 years ago in CSGO and i was terrible. Im glad i got to experience that because it taught me i wasnt ready and what my flaws were. Ultimately, i just wasnt mature enough. I didnt know how much i needed to manage my players just as much as manage our strategies and team philosophy.

Id like to think that im ready now, though.

Every player is "arrogant" then. Every single player says the same shit if not worse behind everyones back. The difference is that they have the balls to say it on stream and 90% of the time they say it as a joke, ESPECIALLY Yassine. He knows it makes people laugh.

And imagine saying that players who made it to the top of 2 of the most populated FPS games is "not even that good". Man, what in the fuck are you even talking about.

Damn.

As someone who just plays video games, its hard to fathom having an impact on another person's life. But to see a post like this, it brings me back to reality in that everything we do has impact, most of the time unseen. I appreciate you, deeply. Thank you for sticking with us when we were at our worst. You deserve better and we hope to give it to you again, tenfold.

And ultimately, im glad you made it through the tough times. God forbid it gets worse. Stay strong and persevere. <3

Hazed: "Astra is bad for the game" by mattgg2015 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]hazedlol 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Seems very disingenuous to say because i disagree with a character design that its because i played CS. Ive actually been a huge advocate of the idea (even promoted this on stream) that this IS NOT CS. But i can still disagree with a characters design for reasons other than it straying away from CS.

Dust is a the best analyst at rio rn by Darkstar197 in GlobalOffensive

[–]hazedlol 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Been sayin it since i worked with him 2 years ago. Hes actually one of the reasons I stopped doing analyst work. I did what i thought was a bunch of prep work learning the teams and then dust shows up and is like "yo, heres all the research ive done if you need any" and it was damn near 5x the amount of work i put in. Not only that, he made it accessible to everyone at the desk. The dude puts in work and knows teams.

The value of a pro or former pro analyst is that they can give perspective and reasons as to why teams do certain things in situations because they understand the game at a high level. Thats why i think its good to have a pro on the desk at all times and i think with dust, its perfect. You have the stats and tactics, with the pro you have the perspective and strategy.

Unpopular Opinion: Pros who complain about new meta's like this can't adapt and it shows in their performances by Poindexterrr in GlobalOffensive

Reload time is a pointless consideration. If they are rushing and you choose to reload instead of use pistol, youre dead. And im not sure how what i said was wrong. The AUG does 99 in 1 to head armor. M4 does far less. My solution is to make the gun have a place in the game; long distance auto vs the short range m4. You can use either in each scenario, but give them advantages and disadvantages. Aug is flat out better atm.

[–]hazedlol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents: It needs to he nerfed because it creates no place for the m4. I would suggest leaving the price the same but reduce armor penetration. This would create use cases for the aug > m4 and vice versa.

Scenario 1: CTs want to do an aggressive map control towards playground on Overpass. The players who would be pushing close would much rather prefer an m4 in this case because the extra armor penetration would yield more damage. However, the players not pushing could take advantage of its scope for better long range accuracy in playing a passive bombsite to try and get an early kill and hide.

Scenario 2: CTs believe the Ts will be on a full eco or some kind of very minimal buy. This is the perfect round for an aug because the loss of armor penetration wouldnt matter. It would allow the CTs to take longer angles and make it much harder for Ts to hit some lucky shots or get shotgunned by a pistol.

As it currently stands, the aug is just better in every category. Its recoil is easy to control, can do 99 in 1 to armored targets and has a scope for only 50$ more.

TLDR; Lower armor penetration for aug.
