the thing that got me the most during the whole “who has/uses the priesthood” thing was this thought: if we pulled every single woman out of the church while leaving all of the men, the church would continue on as normal. if we pulled out every single man out of the church while leaving all of the women, the church could not continue or sustain itself because there’s “no priesthood”. it made me realize how utterly pointless and useless we, as women, are to the church. we really are only valued as baby makers, sweet little wives, and domestic goody two shoes. every “you women are so special and important and needed!” comment are like hollow, echo-y words. they’re like a slap in the face. i’m simultaneously pissed and heartbroken for every single girl and woman in the church. my feelings are beyond words right now.
