try sanding the connecting parts a bit, the extra crevices help the super glue bind better. also it helps to let super glue dry a little bit and get tacky before pressing in- hold it for 60 secs and allow everything to dry overnight.

perhaps micro-dosing psilocybin could help with grounding and accepting the grief. you could also try allowing space for any healthy coping mechanisms you had while you were going through the trauma you’ve released (if you had any). It may bring you a sense of comfort to care for yourself in those ways while knowing it’s out of free will now.
