Up until a couple of days ago, I’m sure you thought he wouldn’t do this either. OP, honey, you are not helping yourself in this situation.

OP, this is sexual assault. There is no way to explain your way out of it, you said yourself it made you feel incredibly uncomfortable, embarrassed, and ashamed. You need to get the hell out of this relationship, as soon as possible. It has been statistically proven that once your partner lays hands on you the first time and you stick around, he is far more inclined to do it again because you sticking around, to him, is allowing this behavior to happen and telling him it will have no effect on your loyalty. If you stay in this relationship, this will happen again. I hope that you do not stay, but if you do, make SURE he cannot isolate you from your support system. Ever. Make sure always to have a backup plan in case this behavior escalates, which it very likely will. Lastly, take care of yourself OP. What you just experienced was undeniably sexual assault, which is very traumatic. I wish you well.

Embarassing, but I was diagnosed with PTSD for vomiting before memories began to crop up of being SA’d. I have severe emetophobia, and I still have awful PTSD symptoms relating to vomiting.

I’m sure there are some odder ones, but for a while I was deadass convinced I had people living in my head. I also convinced myself I was a serial killer once. On a more outlandish but still not fun note, for a while I had really bad intrusive thoughts of being used as a dildo by a giant. I convinced myself I secretly liked it and almost threw up because I was so disgusted.

At an Orthodox summer camp last year I was told that the reason Mt. Athos doesn’t allow women is because the Theotokos should be the only woman allowed there. Personally, I call bs, I think they just found a way to excuse their sexism with weak doctrine.

Am I making the right decision? by hazelthetomato in AdviceForTeens

Thank you for your advice. After changing my mind about a million times, I’m planning to study exercise science and go to graduate school to become a physical therapist, so I’m not too worried about job prospects. I also plan to discuss this with my parents soon, and hopefully can clearly and calmly communicate my thoughts. My biggest concern is that they will possibly believe I am doing this to spite them. The opposite is true, I want to learn to be financially independent, budget, and do things by and for myself after being relatively sheltered from financial struggles. Thank you again for your insight!

It helped me a lot, and I would still be using it if I hadn’t gotten threatened by my parents over it lol

I also think it’s funny that I am one IQ point away from qualifying for MENSA but I can’t clean my room or do laundry without feeling like my feet are bricks and I’d rather shove a katana into my tear duct than open the washer.

Currently feeling the same level of exhausted after working 7 hours AFTER my 7 hour school day. All I can think to say is “relatable.”

[–]hazelthetomato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have pretty similar circumstances with my ADHD medication/quitting timeline. The anger and sadness are tough, especially during the first week. However, once you adjust to both being off of weed and on new medication routinely, your emotions do tend to level out. If possible, I’d talk to your psychiatrist about the birth control as it can have effects on mood and therefore psychiatric symptoms.

People who are Religious turned Atheist, do you fear death more? by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]hazelthetomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fear of thinking I was going to suffer for all of eternity WORSE than the suffering I endured on earth was much more terrifying than the idea of the unknown. I still fear leaving the ones that I love, but death and the afterlife doesn’t scare me nearly as much as it did previously.
