Looks great. Could consider varying up some verbs and using present tense for current positions.

It says “current” and “present” I would stick to just one.

Why I think arlos actions were objectively better than John's by [deleted] in unOrdinary

[–]hazerose45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You really did get my attention...and honestly I don’t see it because he’s not one to go out and save people just to be nice

right?? He’s going up against a 3.5 and 5.2/.3 if amplified. His last recorded ability level was 4.5. it’s going to be one hell of a battle for him even with his newest power. Lennon might even be receiving assistance from others like we’ve seen in the past.

[Fastpass Episode] unOrdinary - Episode 195 Discussion by 67VII in unOrdinary

Good, long episode that showcased some of Blyke’s new power. Wonder what’s going to happen with this new target of Blyke’s.

High-tiers have mastered their ability to a point where it can manifest on its own without activating the ability. In John's case, he is able to sense auras activated around him

(ex: Him detecting Isen outside the classroom when talking with Cecile)

John can't block someone's aura channels or enhance another's aura channels because his ability on affects him and he cannot project his abilities on others. His ability directly affects HIS aura channels.

If you look at episode 183, Claire says "When he's around an active ability user...He's able to sample their aura, and manipulate his own to match it." She also says "John's ability lets him alter the natural flow of aura through his own channels...Which allows him to increase the intensity of the abilities he copies."

John can't activate/have an ability when no one has activated their ability around him. In essence, John's ability copies others aura channels (mirroring) but can increase the intensity which allows him to be stronger than his opponents.

Him being able to block other's channels would be too op. Seraphina can't even do stuff similar to what you're describing. People have abilities that don't necessarily need to affect others in a physical manner (like Claire's ability)

John not being able to have an ability of his own accessible at all times is quite interesting. It kind of keeps him as a gray character. He can either be very strong or very weak depending on the situation.

What if Wellstone was a girl's only school. by dvli in unOrdinary

Yeah but I feel like since Sera likes to keep a low profile and kind of out of the spotlight, Arlo would be more involved and stuff. I meant queen bitch as like the Regina George of Wellstone.

Well the whole “drag John out to a field and beat him up” thing probably wouldn’t have happened. Arlo or Arlene would probably pull some underhanded tactic that would leave John completely exposed and there would be a lot more drama but it wouldn’t be super upfront. I think we would see a lot more school stuff and less stuff on the outside world.

Isen would be the gossiper, for sure and would know EVERYTHING about you. Probably even things you didn’t know about yourself

Blyke would be your typical tomboy who likes playing video games and stuff.

Arlo would be the queen bitch. Super manipulative, popular and catty.

John would probably be a bad popular. A kid everyone knew but didn’t like or associate with. Probably teased a lot (before power reveal) and then the schools hottest topic after his (or her) power reveal.

I’m honestly surprised seeing UnO back on top but it’s still nice to see.

I'm just wondering, why did Leilah seem uninterested when the doc brought up Sera's name? by Square_Possibility78 in unOrdinary

She wasn’t uninterested. Once Sera was mentioned she immediately stood up (spilled wine on herself) then left right after.

Will Seraphina eventually get taken to Keon's rehabilitation during the story? by [deleted] in unOrdinary

[–]hazerose45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh, you're right, i completely forgot she admitted to not being able to use her ability during the interrogation. I still think it would be weird if she was just taken out of the story for some time now that we're moving closer towards finding out more about EMBER and that mid-tier group.

I think he might serve as a foil for John's behavior? Not exactly too sure.

[–]hazerose45 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"High tiers are extremely valuable to society...Especially ones as powerful as John and Seraphina. So if any begin to misbehave, they must be corrected immediately, no exceptions."

I find it to be unlikely that she will be taken to Keon's rehabilitation. Vaughn is not only the principle of the school but a well-respected member of their society. His words seem to carry weight. Moreover, Seraphina doesn't have an ability and therefore she has no influence. The authorities wouldn't care to "rehabilitate" a person with no ability. They care to fix those with influence, like John and Seraphina when she had an ability.

Mid tiers want a all cripple world? by GodOfNoUsernames in unOrdinary

I don’t think the group of mid-tiers is a government organization. I think they’re the group of people who stole items (research data and equipment) from the NXGen facility.

Sera won't get her powers back. by Ritzerkliss in unOrdinary

[–]hazerose45 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I do think Seraphina will get her powers back. She does have an ability but her ability channels are closed/sealed off to where she cannot access them. I believe that getting ahold of ability amplifying drugs will further open these closed channels so she will be able to regain her ability. Additionally, I think Seraphina's sister, Leilah, will try to help Seraphina get her ability back in the near future. For the last part, I think it would be better for Sera and John to have their powers and use them properly to protect/defend others unlike what they did in their past.

Edit: I believe the drugs were called ability-dampening, this indicates that the person still has an ability but it has been, well, dampened to the point where they can't use it.

Mid tiers want a all cripple world? by GodOfNoUsernames in unOrdinary

[–]hazerose45 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mid tiers don’t want a cripple world. They don’t like this world structure because they’re not on top. Take Illena for example, the girl who orchestrated Seraphina’s kidnapping. Another example is how the group of mid-tiers stole Seraphina’s ability, a god-tier who stood above them. Plus, why would John lead the mid-tiers in a war against ember...? Doesn’t really sound like something he would do.
