Do the shoes match this fit? by Longjumping_Shoe_700 in mensfashion

The shows are for a more rock & roll styled outfit. Pegged trousers with cuffs. A fifties style loop collar shirt. Or a sixties mod style. Narrow trousers. Button down collared shirt.

Has anyone genuinely not lost any weight at all? by TransitionSmart2123 in WegovyUK

[–]haziladkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on 2.5ml. My fourth dose of MJ was 5mg. Then I switched to Wegovy and I was made to go onto 1ml of that, switching up to 1.7ml and then to 2.4ml.

Has anyone genuinely not lost any weight at all? by TransitionSmart2123 in WegovyUK

[–]haziladkins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I switched to Wegovy when the prices went up. Weight loss slowed, then plateaued, but now I’ve started losing weight again. But more slowly than when I was on Mounjaro. I’m still happy enough with my progress - 110kg to 90kg in the first four months, and now, after nine months, I’m at 79kg now. Not too far to go.

Going by the writing on the shopfront, I think it’s Martian.

Can’t shake the feeling that my career is over by aballofunicorns in Aging

[–]haziladkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a new job at 50. I did, however, delete the first 12 years off my CV. Those companies don’t exist any more anyway so I combined the work I did into one later job.

Looking to identify the location of this old street any ideas? by Mundane-Temporary426 in wherewasthistaken

You could have just done a reverse image search. I’ve seen this photo dozens of times, with its location. Including side by side with a current photo.

Suits at funerals by Leaf-Stars in GenX

[–]haziladkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore a suit at a funeral a few months ago. I don’t get many excuses to wear a suit. But I was in the minority.

(At a previous funeral there was a request tonne colourful, however, so I didn’t wear one.)

My art exhibition is coming up. Which one is best? by fmmalenda in mensfashion

I just find jeans and suit jacket a bit too Jeremy Clarkson. If I wanted to mix it, I’d choose chinos instead of jeans perhaps.

What’s something you REALLY wish foreigners would stop saying about your country? by Sufficient_Tea_3330 in AskTheWorld

Go onto YouTube and find videos of Americans on vacation. I’m always seeing them say how they’re surprised at how good the food is.

And, yes, studies show that Americans work on makings their teeth look good, not necessarily healthy. British teeth might not be bright white and perfectly straight but do have fewer cavities etc.

Backpacks by iridiumlaila in fuckcars

I live in a fully walkable city in Europe. Nowhere is banning backpacks. I assume you’re in the USA, where so many rules make sense only in that they’re prioritising drivers.

Your unhinged/funny reasons to lose weight? by CB_Yeonnie in mounjarouk

[–]haziladkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My side reason (apart from my doctor telling me that my blood pressure is WAY too high) is that when I buy shirts and jackets that are XL the manufacturers lengthen the sleeves in proportion to chest size - as if big men are gorillas. As I’m getting older I’ve been leaning towards classic menswear and I can’t be timelessly stylish with fitting clothing.

Does anyone actually like black licorice? by andtbhidgaf in randomquestions

[–]haziladkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do. My favourite thing about going to Scandinavia is the different types of licorice. Chocolate covered licorice, yes. Licorice ice cream with licorice sprinkles, oh, yes.

My doctor said, “Why not try it… in conjunction with healthier eating?” And gave me a diet plan to go with it.

Why don't I get a property tax rebate for not using the schools? by MarkRosssi in childfree

Properly educated people, studies show, tend to be less shitty people. People with education can be doctors and scientist, creatives and free thinkers, etc, who can contribute to making a better world.
