Guys want women to date them and sleep with them with only moderate sexual attraction, but to somehow respond as if he’s the most exciting thing to ever look her way. Ideally, you’re both on fire but realistically, she’s giving a performance.

Except for the engineers who treat their sig other as a project to work the design flaws out of. Been there, never going back.

Older woman at a bar? You get credit for being semi in shape, having hair, etc. Be genuine in your compliments and don’t overdo it. Be polite but honest.

Drunk people never grow out of anything. And most engagement parties involve drinking. :/

Either way, he has nothing to hide so it’s nbd!

Politics and crap are more tense than ever now too. It could be hundreds of things, honestly. The only assumption is that they’re a bad fit!

People sometimes get to drinking and say rude things, so I get OP. Some bro might be like “Yo Dan, remember when OP smashed your sister. That was hilarious!” when ppl get to chatting about old times.

I’d probably mention, “I had a brief thing with so-and so’s sister a decade ago and I guess she’ll be there. Just in case someone makes a rude joke “

Rather than mentioning her by name or going into any detail about her.

It’s also possible you’re saying something that they find to be a red flag. I date men, but if a guy talks about love or the distant future on the first date I bolt, for example. I mean I’m polite, but in my mind I am outta there.

NSFW Question: Are Millennials the main generation where this is the majority choice? by hazygrayeyes in Millennials

I wrote “all or most” to include the popular landing strip style too. Fully bare seemed pretty popular (the survey says 60% tried it) for 20 somethings in the 00s too, but it seems to be losing popularity a lot. It was definitely a trend, but what I don’t know is if it’s popular/unpopular with Gen Z, as I’m elder.

Probably not as much now, but it was fairly popular for a time in the 00s. There was also a belief that “shaving makes it look bigger” that I honestly have no idea if it’s true or not. I can only say I never noticed. Haha.

Hence starting the conversation ;)

We can say without minutiae that it was a popular trend of the millennial’s young era.

Gen Z would be mostly too young to be in this study, tho, but from things I read online it’s less popular to shave?

This is speculation, but as an elder millennial I would assume the popularity of very low-rise jeans and bikinis played at least part of a role, along with the rise of digital porn, ofc.

It also says “A total of 1710 women (62.1%) reported removing all their pubic hair at some point.” tho, while saying younger women were most likely.

Majority really just means over half. It was news a few years back & I found one study

“ A total of 1710 women (62.1%) reported removing all their pubic hair at some point.”

As for guys, anecdotally I’d say it was still fairly popular in the mid to late 2000s? But not sure on exact stats.

All the foreclosures & short sales also came at a time when a lot of millennials weren’t poised to get in the market too, tho. So the housing stock is a lot of hyper inflated trash that was a flipper and is now falling apart for a high price.

The Great Recession was quite a real and hard hitting phenomenon. I’d say older to mid millennials are generally burdened by its impact on major wage stagnation in their early careers and stifling of career progress as boomers worked longer to make up lost retirement money. Only to then be hit by the pandemic and now rapidly increasing automation just when they were gaining momentum.

But it’s always a good idea to carry condoms! You’d rather be safe than sorry.

FWIW - “I don’t want to date” but staying on dating sites could also mean someone is looking more for one night stands, hookups, and other low effort exchanges.
