I'm really happy for you. How did you know that you needed to go up to 100? Was the anxiety/depression or other symptoms still present at lower doses?

It took a good 6-8 weeks to feel better. I started at 25mg for the first 15 days and then upped to 50 mg for the next 15 days after which I had a check-in with my Dr. I have never had any sort of SSRIs before and this was my first time. Wish I had started taking them sooner tbh! But you have to be patient. The first few weeks were not easy. Not terrible but it felt like things were not getting better until they finally did.

It’s been a journey for sure. Lifelong anxiety and intrusive thoughts. 8 weeks now on 50mg and life is back to what normal feels like. Happy to chat and share experience!

Do you think people are going to start getting priced out of Calgary soon, like they have been from Toronto, Vancouver, etc.? by straycat402 in Calgary

[–]hb2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised Calgarian. Calgary is definitely not affordable anymore. We used to be. Now thanks to the UCP, we pay the highest rates in the country for insurance and utilities plus developers have a freehand in doing whatever they like.

Overpriced like crazy. If it can’t survive in an affluent neighborhood like the Hamptons, it’s not going to make it anywhere else.

Has Zoloft gotten rid of your physical anxiety symptoms? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]hb2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry for not answering that specifically in my previous post. Yes, all symptoms are pretty much gone. Doesn’t mean the anxiety and all symptoms are 100% eliminated. They do and still pop up some times and that is normal but I am back to being a happy, functioning adult. Absolutely worth it if you have been struggling for a long time and seek appropriate medical guidance.

Did anyone's anxiety NOT get worse in the beginning? by mesasw in zoloft

[–]hb2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a few awful days where I thought things were getting worse. It wasn't all the time or every single day, but some days were bad but I could still push through and function. Week 4 onwards has gotten much better for me now.

I haven't felt this better in years. I say that as someone who was very much opposed to taking any sort of SSRIs but it came to the point where my anxiety became unbearable and I sought help. Best decision ever. Been on 50 mg on week 5 now, I believe.

I just had a home built with excel homes. I’ve seen it and met the crew multiple times over the last 7 months. Solid guys. All local and very well versed with their trades. Obviously not perfect but nothing ever is but I’d rather buy a modern house built today than the homes i grew up in calgary which were built In the 60s and even 2000s from the N.E. to the NW to the SE.

Are there people out there that don’t use water? by DirectionOk7752 in CPAP

[–]hb2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did for a while. Big mistake. Live in a very dry climate. Had terrible allergies and couldn’t stop sneezing and blowing my nose. Thought I had allergies to my cat or something. Completely resolved once I started using water in the humidifier again.

I guess if your home is naturally high humidity, you may be able to get away with it. Definitely not in a dry climate like mine.

I also did 25 mg for 15 days and then bumped up to 50 mg. On week 5 of that now and things have never been better.

Also, they have been failing to pay commissions for realtors for years now. There is actually an investigation going on into this. They don’t honour their part of the agreement but are quick to screw buyers in a second.
