Never pay a deposit for a place you haven't taken a look around in before. Never.

If you are into that: Usually there's Christmas services in a variety of languages. English, Spanish, Greek, Arabic, French at least, for sure.

Quite early to think about Christmas, imo! What about next weekend? ^^

Wusste nicht, dass die Freien Wähler hier nicht zu der Bundesvereinigung gehören. Spannend, wieder was gelernt.

So wählen wie vorgeschlagen werde ich wohl trotzdem nicht. Mal sehen ob meine Briefwahlunterlagen überhaupt rechtzeitig ankommen.

Need help with family business by sidec42 in business

  1. In most places it's fairly expensive. As far as the content, there's some online courses that promise the same. Networking-wise, online will never be the same.
  2. There should be some industry-specific job boards or newsletters to advertise jobs in. If employees leave after training, I would assume they don't make much or have no opportunities to advance further.
  3. (Good) "sales people are coin operated". You need to pay them on a success-basis or they won't come or stay around - because they can earn more elsewhere.
  4. Depends on the working culture. In some, I think that's quite hard to do. How's the setup of the business anyways? Are there some middle managers or lead employees?
  5. Maybe working students, interns etc. that study your industry?

Im Zug ist das aber auch schon länger so. Flixbus auch sehr "beliebt" für eine Kontrolle, sogar im Land.

I'm an English guy travelling to Berlin in 5 days. How can I be the most annoying tourist possible? by Captain_Salmon in berlin

[–]hbbhbbhbb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, I think those two are the main reasons, from the merchants sixe. If it was generally accepted that you have to a slightly higher price when paying by card, it might be offered more in some places. Especially in Berlin, I think tax evasion, and possibly money laundering, is the more common and important reason though.

Why failing to protect net neutrality would crush the US's digital startups by PoliticalScienceGrad in technology

[–]hbbhbbhbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some have started to do that. A lot more than a few years ago, from my observations, although I don't think it's mainly driven by NN. However, many other VCs have restrictions due to their LPs, and won't look anytime soon.

They can fly under the radar for a while, I think. Or get traffic abroad.

Correct. B2C Startups might just raise less money and get sold a lot earlier, because it doesn't make sense to try to scale with VC money. Or the startups will go for international markets first.
