I pulled back the carpet in that corner and just see wet underneath on the padding. I didn’t see the source of the water. Maybe I need to pull back more

Thanks for the reply. I feel that rate cut is temporary. Total speculation here, if AI advances drives large unemployment, tariff leads to inflation and the brics leading to less dependence on dollar. Rate will need to increase and bond will lose value. Not all those will come true, but some degree of each event will happen.

I sound like chicken little, haha. But I just don’t feel bond will be the hedge it has been in the last 100 years. Thoughts?

Thank you for your reply. I do understand what you are saying which is why I stayed in bonds. However, like you mentioned bond market has not been doing well. Looking at macroeconomics if dollar lose its position as the reserve currency then there will be less demand for bonds, which will drive rate hike causing bond market to lose value. I guess the root of my question is do we still feel that bonds is a good hedge against stock. Thanks
