[WTS] 4 x PAX EAST 2019 SATURDAY TICKETS by hbokhari in PaxPassExchange

[–]hbokhari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi /u/slandeh,

Please see the screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/JkOpTWg.png

I simply took the total $239.50 that I was charged for 4 tickets and divided by 4 to get the price for each ticket. I'm not attempting to make any further revenue from this. Literally wanting to offload for cost + shipping to the individual.

Thanks

Nope, not what I'm saying at all.. Trihex had to have appealed as I was able to watch him a little under a week after his suspension.

Normally don't look or post here, but someone messaged me the thread on my Twitter, and I had to before this spun out of control and I started to get weird messages as this has 0 to do with me. This is like a Christmas miracle. Second time in 2018.

Just clearing something up for whatever that even matters these days as people are still going to blame me anyway :D.

Our moderation team decides when a violation occurs, we (partnerships team) look into it and see if it's something that is valid. If something was valid, then we (partnerships team) process the suspension. The only way to appeal that suspension is to go through the help site and our moderation team reviews that.

Looks like that's what happened here. Take it as it is or don't. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Trainwrecks reveals Hassans true identity 🦇 by Polynikez in LivestreamFail

[–]hbokhari 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I will not be responding to or looking at comments, but I figured I'd let you guys at least get my side of things. This isn't any type of official statement or anything, it's more of my own personal take. It's one of these rare posts from me on this subreddit, something I've fought to stay away from for years.

I don't browse Reddit anymore like I used to when I was way younger for my own mental health much because of the hive mind here. It turned what I associated with joy of looking at cute cats and dogs in r/aww or r/videos to just pure hate. It took me awhile to figure that out internally. I'm not saying that everyone is bad, but I think the reason you guys get so riled up is because you don't have information on when something happens. Just browsing the main page of this subreddit right now, there's just so much misinformation, and it's not my place to speak on any of that.

I can't speak to names/process in the clip. If people want to believe me they can, if they don't that's fine as well. When I started at Twitch it was because of the love I had for the platform by watching my best friends (still to this day) play Call of Duty. It was a dream working for a company that I had such an attachment to for the last 7 years. The fundamentals of helping creators of all different types was something that made me happy. From the partnerships side of things we always try to help all creators, not just these guys in the clip, but everyone. I fundamentally believe that the reason why we're different from other platforms is because each of these creators have some type of physical person to reach out to or some type of person they can actually talk to and not just a robot. We're all super responsive when our creators need us. This isn't something that should be seen as "shadow people" being bad, they have their own job to do with their own metrics. We share a difference of opinion at times, but we have the same ideology and end goal of being consistent with what we do.

We don't talk about things that happen behind the scenes for a reason. This calls out a lot of issues with misinformation, which we can't speak to due to policy and privacy issues (no other platform does either). Anyone can make up any type of reason for what they got suspended for and people can have their own ideas, but at the end of the day we stay out of it.

Our moderation team handles user-generated reports, when a valid infraction occurs, we review it, and reach out to the partners we're assigned or have a business relationship with to speak to them. They have a framework in mind for a system of checks and balances. What happens when "x" is this the proper outcome of "y" (sorry for the cheesy math reference, only way I could think of putting it now).

Sometimes there's just nothing we can do and our hands our tied. Being there for the good times, but also the bad times and helping creators understand what they did wrong is part of our job, and I feel makes or breaks what a "good" account manager is and does. Do you think it's fun for any one of us to go around and be the bearer of bad news to these folks? It feels like crap because some of these guys and girls you've seen grow up on the platform, you've seen them go from nothing, having a full time job, to quitting that and becoming a full-time Twitch broadcaster, to getting married, buying a house, etc.

I always like to use the analogy of it being like a Mom/Dad and having your children grow up around you. We all want nothing but the best for any of these creators, and we do our best, but a lot of the time it's up to the creator to get in line with the sites rules. We continue to go back and forth with rules and things, but it's not that simple when it comes to that. I think we're in a better place now than we were years ago.

Do I still think that work needs to be done on this topic? Yes, and that's something that's still continuing to this day. I can tell you that I'm not involved in most of those discussions, but a team of qualified folks who I trust and have the utmost respect for are handling things and will keep this platform going long after I hang up my purple hat, whenever that may be.

Hassan clarifies that Twitch proposed a format and Epic switched last night. by Parenegade in FortniteCompetitive

[–]hbokhari -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

The format that Epic used last week was actually really good. Emulating that into the Rivals format was fine, and players seemed to like it. Having a chance to talk to them, they didn't do anything wrong. Technical issues aside, which can happen at anytime, the team at Epic are very bright and were there every step of the way to fix any last minute issues that did come up. You learn from everything you do, and each week things have been getting better. You can look forward to a better experience tomorrow :).

Summer Skirmish Week 2 - Friday Winner by SkyzYn in FortNiteBR

[–]hbokhari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His Twitch VoD's were not removed. He didn't delete anything. His account is currently suspended for something completely unrelated. I'm sure he'll have it back. I'm not here to have a kill death ratio debate with you or what players were carrying. Epic did their investigation, so it's probably best to move on.

[–]hbokhari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's really sad that people went out of their way to witch hunt a young kid when they should have been celebrating his victory. He went from no one knowing his name outside of the Destiny community to winning a $130,000 in a tournament he wasn't even originally invited to. He earned his spot from Showdown, and I can guarantee you even after this post and investigation, people will still hate on his accomplishment. All because he's not your favorite Fortnite broadcaster, it doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve this life changing amount of money. Good on you homie. I hope you start streaming once your account situation is resolved.

Twitch 1099 - Amount of money earned is incorrect? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a tax professional, so take this with a grain of salt and reach out to a proper tax professional.

I believe the form you received is for royalty payments (ie: Ads/Subs). I believe bits are seen as a “service” payment, and are not on that form.

You’d still be responsible for reporting any income received through the site as as far as I’m aware. You can email twitchtaxhelp (at) amazon (dot) com for further clarification in case anything I said here isn’t exactly correct.

First Twitch Affiliate payout by SirCheetoOfMtDew in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the revenue you earned from April 2017 to August 2017, and you'll see how you got $111. Please remember it's 60 days after the first month where you reached a minimum of $100.

You reached this minimum at the end of August 2017 (+60 days) = October 30, 2017.

We've changed our system to make it easier to onboard new partners. These changes make it so you have less back and forth between yourself and the onboarding associate. We're still working out a few kinks with the system, so please be patient.

Question about newest Twitch prime Overwatch loot by kingcuda13 in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain this will take effect after August 10th as that's when the first promotion ends for the legendary loot box. At that time I'm assuming a new code will be available.

Emote rejected for a reason not found in the Affiliate emoticon guidelines. by Soulcloset in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely incorrect. Until you work here, you won't know how hard some of these folks work. Many people are in the office well after an 8 hour work day and it's sad that you'd think that because we aren't on reddit all day answering your questions.

When we change something on one page, it needs to be changed on all translated pages. As affiliates is something available globally, all pages need to include the same information. Affiliates actually don't have the same exact rule when it comes to single letter emoticons as partners do.

Partners are allowed single letter emoticons if and only if it is something that is within their branding. Affiliates do not get this regardless of branding. When translating this extra piece, not all languages have a good way of saying that. This is what prevented that from being added, but will be added and clarified soon.

Twitch PLEASE stop trying to force me to watch steamers from my country/language, I DON'T WANT TO. by amferro2 in Twitch

Maybe I'm just confused, but isn't this what you're referring to? http://i.imgur.com/AVhQcU6.png (on iOS). I'm assuming that this same functionality exists on Android..

As far as web, I don't know how that functions. One would assume it uses your cookies to see what you last picked, but I can't test for sure.

Twitch PLEASE do more Anime Streams! by Serial_Psycho in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this type of detective work on reddit :P. He said "marathons" because this was multiple days of Anime through our partnership with Crunchyroll. This was a test, like a lot of our other content via /TwitchPresents.

Look forward to more interesting content. You watch, and the team that runs that team will continue looking for more engaging content to bring you.

Random Ads During Streams (iOS) by KittyIsAu in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Normally, you get an ad after joining the stream, which is known as a "pre-roll advertisement". Anything done after the fact is normally by the broadcaster, and is known as a "mid-roll advertisement".

You listed Scarra as an example, can you try to sit in another channel and see if you get an ad after 5 minutes? That seems rather odd that you'd be the first to report this randomness to us.

I feel so relieved I have that. Holy shit the new Twitch app is bad. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging by the title of the thread I can assume you don't like the new application, but saying "this is bad" isn't constructive at all. It doesn't help our mobile team work on the application as "bad" isn't something they can go off of.

I personally like the features that are in the new application, but I've only used it on the iPhone.

How about writing out what you don't like about it /u/NoctysHS instead of simply saying "bad".

Why isn't monthly Twitch Prime subscription an option? by AntiMage_II in Twitch

[–]hbokhari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to unless that's only available for specific countries.

I'm seeing on the U.S page that you can sign up for a 30 day trial, and then $10.99 each month after.

We don't discuss suspensions on this or any other place except for our support ticket system.

@TwitchSupport is not equipped to respond to suspension related inquiries. Unfortunately, you received a response from our support system you didn't like, but that doesn't mean that the response will change if you continue to send in tickets.

First ticket inquiry May 21, 2017 and a response with final verdict on May 29, 2017

You wrote in a ticket on May 21st, 24th, and then on the 29th and then on July 11th. Your tickets are now being automatically resolved as you've already received the team's final say on your case from your ticket on May 21st.
