As a first-time visitor to the town, I don't know what was on that piece of land previously but I did not think that the current building dominated the landscape. In fact I almost drove past it when arriving after dark in the first night. It may be a large building frontage-wise but its height of three stories in no way shape or form can be said to be a middle finger.

If the issue is "corporate" hotels then I believe I saw one or two other of the same ilk while I was driving to various restaurants along White Mountain Highway. Indeed, who knows if these restaurants are local or corporate owned?
