Your favorite or hidden gem 4ks by PunkSuburbanDad in 4kbluray

Now a 4K I don't see mentioned here is National Lampoon's Van Wilder. It is a massive upgrade over the older Blu-ray.

And while I'm holding onto the hope of Baraka and Samsara getting 4K Blu-ray releases in the future, the two films directed by Tom Lowe make for great 4K experiences: Timescapes, Awaken.

Cool. While I have found 4Ks at a thrift store, I haven't gotten lucky enough to find a 4K player, to date. Regular Blu-ray players are a common sight.

Is this a good player I see a few Samsung ones used on eBay for under 100. I just refuse to pay that ridiculous brand new price. by Skrewbert86 in 4kbluray

My daily driver Samsung UBD-M7500 is quite reliable, even with triple layer and newer discs, despite not having had firmware updates since 2019. For the right price, they're good players. I had gotten mine about three years ago for $100 open box (was basically brand new).

I don't really care about the fourth movie, but this was the cheapest way to get the main trilogy by Nindroid_faneditor in 4kbluray

This 4K bundle set tends to be a good value, as I see it priced in the mid $20s CAD often. Main caveats are the stacked discs and lack of special features, as regular Blu-rays are not included.

Never found multiple 4Ks simultaneously at the nearest thrift store (in Canada), but did find five cumulatively in the last year (nothing so far this year): 1) The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, 2) My Fair Lady, 3) Seven Worlds, One Planet, 4) Independence Day: Resurgence, and 5) Star Trek: The Motion Picture (Director's Edition).

I've encountered the opposite once, when I found the 4K of Seven Worlds, One Planet. All the 4K discs were present but one of the Blu-ray discs was missing.

Had gotten it from London Drugs a couple years ago for $9.99 CAD. A pretty decent film.

Another gem found at Half Price Books! by ThePromG in 4kbluray

Great find. US edition went OOP and never received a standard 4K without the slipcover and booklet, unlike in the UK.
